Hello. I'm just opening up a thread for feedback on my project which you can find here-Discord
Please leave any feedback here that you feel will help make this project better.
What is Discord?
Discord is a custom fan made campaign. When it's done it will have 30 missions and cover 3 interwoven stories. For now I only have the first few missions completed and ready for testing. You can download them here by going to the files tab and selecting the files for download. The files need to be placed in your Starcraft II directory to work properly. I would suggest that you start with the launcher map when you play.
Who am I?
I am Baelethal, a long time lurker on sc2mapster. I have visited this site many times since wings of liberty came out, but only now I have decided to finally participate in the community. This is my first project for Starcraft II and my first activity on sc2mapster. I hope to remain active for some time to come and to create many projects to add to sc2mapster. Please enjoy what Discord and I have to offer.

UPDATED: I updated Discord. No new missions yet but the first three have been changed.
-Changed Dialog for missions 1 and 2
-Added new controllable hero for missions 1 and 2
-Reduced size of attack waves in missions 1, 2, and 3
-Fixed Trooper tip in mission 1
-color for rescued units in mission 1 now changes
-Other stuff I probably don't remember

I just played Missions 2 and 3. I played on hard on both. Some notes:
Mission 2
I liked the addition of the second hero. Hopefully he'll get additional abilities later on.
I didn't actually beat it. I kept loosing the APC at the beginning when the enemy would come down their ramp. The ramp is right next to where the APC spawns. I think I could have beat it if I tried again though.
Mission 3
This was the easiest one of the 3. Maybe make one large attack wave at the end.
I liked having to defend multiple bases.
There is a ton of dialogue at the beginning of this mission (after the cutscene). Maybe add some to the beginning cinematic. It is hard to read all of it when you are trying to build up your defense and figure out what you need to do in the mission.
I really liked the custom units you use. The turrets are really cool and fun to use. Looking forward to using those air units you see in the last cinematic.

I can definitely see how the second mission is the most difficult, I should probably move the location of that ramp and delay that attack slightly. Mission 3 on the other hand I was worried that it could become very difficult because of having to split units so many directions. I'm glad you liked the custom units. I tried my best to make them interesting. It'll be a few missions before you get air units but they'll be showing up and you'll be able to control them.
I've actually been working on redoing the first mission to improve the story telling. I want to redo a lot of the dialog in the missions and I'll keep in mind to try not to throw too much at them during gameplay.

No problem. Happy to play them. Yeah I think if you moved the location of the ramp higher up and delay the attack it would help a lot. On Mission 3, I built a barracks at each of the defending locations, which helped a lot. Then with bunkers and turrets, it wasn't too bad.

Mission 1 has been completely redone. It now has no base building and the mission is much more about trying to tell the story. Mission 2 has had the ramp moved to make it easier as well as the marauders in attack waves replaced with reapers. Mission 3 has had a slight scale up in attack waves and there are more banelings in attack waves earlier to help make the Zerg harder to hold off. Heroes have had their energy maximum and energy regeneration lowered to make it harder to spam abilities like grenades.

I played all the mission that you made until now and i have to say it, i am impressed, this campaign looks so fresh and interesting... I had a good feeling by just watching the mission select screen.
The terrain is great terrain on every mission (especially the first one, a good feeling with the yellow fog and dead trees)
I was immediately hooked to have to play as the Umojan Protectorate, it plays differently from the wol campaign so far and feel more technologically advanced with the custom model like that sweet Umojan marine by GhostNova.
The missions are challenging on brutal difficulty, you cannot simply a-click, you have to think about positioning your defences and every new units so far feels interesting and not useless
Mission 1, is an introduction so the difficulty is fine, you can solo it with the heroes, interesting the healing charges on the anti-armor hero.
Mission 2, if you block the shuttle with buildings, the mission breaks itself (because the shuttle stops moving), and that's good, so i had to stop using exploits... The main tactic is to build turrets on the mid of the main street before the first bridge, so the waves directed on your base and on the merc shop are both under you fire and killed (the antiground turret is pretty good actually but not, plus the more armor they have, the more it becomes weak, that's good)
The antiarmor short-ranged trooper is really good, he can tank a lot and take down these pesky marauders; Also the upgrades help to differentiate your bio army to the sc2 wol campaign one, again it's great.
Maybe also put turrets on the route between the merc shop and the beacon could be good, but i didn't tryed, too risky
Mission 3, wow... It was hard, really hard, until i figured out the correct timing to push into the two first generators to can build up a wall to defend the first one and the left side of the second, the third one is easily defendable with correct turret placement and using the generator as a wall... Other key on this mission is to put all turrets near the generator and don't split troops and turrets on two sides, is impossible to defend all sides at the same time.
Mission 4 initial cinematic, there is a bug (maybe is caused by the cliff) that shakes the camera for a second during the dialogue between Isaac and the Dominion Ghost
The shadowguard (especially with shields) is really good, plus with stealed tanks i could defend easily my main base
I don't know if you will continue on this, but that was a incredible start for a new campaign, great custom models, great terrain, you play Umojans with new units and upgrades, challenging missions, interesting story and most important thing of all, i can make warhounds (10/10 best campaign ever)... I can only wish good luck with this project if it's still alive :)
Yeah i played this weeks ago forgot to leave some "annoying feedback" :D . Terrain is awesome played all on hard. Not a big fan of spamming ability's. It makes mission to easy. I just wait for cd and continue the spam. Maybe introduce limited amount of charges? Mission 3 OMG predators!!! I was dreaming to use them since WoL but never got the chance :D finally a good excuse. Also the custom models are top notch not sure who made them but the person is a genius.

I especially love the launcher looks high quality ( must been a lot of work as well).The missions where quite creative. Only thing missing was a destroy everything type of map :D. U plan to add that as well? Terran is my least favorite race and somehow u managed to make this very enjoyable! Im intrigued to see what u can do with zerg/toss.

First off i really liked the maps and these are really good so far.
I played all the maps and will be uploading the gameplay on youtube.
1st Mission - Pretty straightforward micro introduction mission some bugs i noticed on this map.
Umojan marine has a no name. Trooper has a Tychus description. Heroes shield armor don't have a name.
2nd Mission - I think the transport path should be displayed in the minimap. I couldn't finish this mission due to path blocking the second transport. I cleared the pathing problem but then the transport went to the end beacon, didn't trigger anything and just stood at the beacon for some time after disappearing.
3rd Mission - This was nice mission but so hard on brutal but i managed to win barely, didn't really notice any bugs here.
4th Mission - I think there should be reminder for the player at some point on the counting down timer, first time i didn't even notice there was timer.
This map took me the longest but i really enjoyed playing with warhounds!

Hey thanks for the feedback. I'll see if these bugs still exist in the new versions. I know I've fixed some of these but not sure if I've fixed all of them. Anyway thanks for playing my maps and for making videos of them. :)
The models are from a variety of creators. You should be able to find most of them on the assets page. Unfortunately a lot of them are from Alleyviper85 and he took down a lot of his old models. I hope he is ok with me still using them. All the people who's models I have used are listed under thank you on the project page for discord. Also I have a lot of cool ideas for zerg and protoss. It'll be awesome once we get there. :D

Yeah, I'm using your umojan marine, marine marauder, umojan guard, and umojan predator. You had a lot of Umojan themed models which were perfect for my campaign. I have all the models already but if anyone is wondering where the model used for Percy came from. That's AV's new version of the same model in the post above mine. Not sure if I'm going to use it for my campaign, but it looks pretty damn sweet regardless. Good job!

Yeah I remember about two-three years ago AV uploads lots of cool model, but I no longer can find them now.
