Elite Operations
As you guys may have guessed, not going to update this map any more. Seems that making a random defense map with no terraining whatsoever has allowed it to shoot up to page 1 in something like 3 days. -_-

This map is a 4 vs 4 Aeon of Strife style battle arena.
Each player has control of one hero, and the primary objective is to help your computer ally destroy all 3 Planetary Fortresses on the opposing team's computer.
Spells: All players have the ability to choose 5 out of 15 spells at the beginning of the game. The first two spells will be available for immediate use and the third, fourth and fifth will be available as your heroes level up.
Equipment: Your hero must be near an Armory and must not have the "In Combat" debuff in order to swap equipment. Some items have requirements that must be met before they can be equipped.
Talents: There are three talent trees. Combat, which makes the hero generally tougher and capable of putting sustainable hurt on the enemy. Tech, which grants the ability to use certain vehicles as well as increases the effectiveness of all vehicles. Stealth, which increases the ability for a hero to assassinate a target and escape quickly.
Vehicles: All mechanical units, as well as bunker/turrets, can be entered like any transport. While in them, you have full control of the vehicle. Most vehicles have some sort of special ability (i.e. SCVs can repair, Stalkers can blink).
Gateways: Located in the uninhabited corners of the map are two Protoss Gateways which can be taken over by destroying the accompanying Photon Cannons. Control of these gateways will periodically produce protoss ground units for your computer ally. In addition, Gateways grant bonus experience every second while under a team's control.
Stargate: Located in the raised center of the map. Calls in Void Rays. Void Rays grant no experience when killed and can cause a lot of damage to the enemy army.
Experience: is gained by being near dying enemies (or landing the killing blow), by your computer ally's SCVs mining, and controlling the Gateways.

1.1 Changes
General
- An 8 second cooldown has been added to prevent jumping from vehicle to vehicle.
- Added a Stargate in the center of the map that can be taken over like the Gateways. The Stargate produces a single Void Ray with powerful area of effect attacks and a high amount of life and shields. Only one Void Ray can be active at a time for either team.
Weapons
- Shock Cannon damage lowered by 25% but now can hit up to 4 targets.
- Flamethrower removed, replaced with the Needler gun. The Needler gun is an area of effect weapon that puts a Needled buff on attack targets, stacking up to 25 times. After 5 seconds of not being attacked by Needler hits, the targets will explode for area of effect damage based on how many stacks of Needled are on them at the time.
Talents
- Some icons have been changed, but the talents are more or less still the same.
Spells
- Snipe damage lowered to a base of 40 + 10 vs. biological.
- Energy cost of the first two spells have been lowered from 30 and 35 to 20 and 30, respectively.
Oh I know how to get it in easier ways, I was mainly trying to point out that the additional units don't really do that much. Like I set it up for the opposing team to obtain it (Also gave then a huge army to deck out some of my base as well) all for me to have a more interesting challenge and stuff, and when I wasn't in the area (the sides), the enemy still was never able to overcome the bunker/my side's units.
@Dreathean only take the Protoss base if you specialize in tech: place some siege tanks in range of the cannon without it hitting them and you get the base for the stealth: try charged shot+range upgrade+bleeder shots
Hmm, the protoss stuff really doesn't do that much. I set up a load of units for the other team to take out the cannons and after running the game for a pretty long time, while my side never really advanced on the sides, the side with the protoss forces hardly was able to do any damage. I also still think that stealth needs more umph or different/interesting/cooler moves to be liked as well as combat. Also I'd suggest increasing the regen you gain from being near the pylons. While they do a lot in the start of the game, they hardly do anything when you reach even like lvl 6. Plus as it stands, the protoss bases are extremely hard to get by yourself (Which atm, it will always have to be just by yourself w/o altering anything), with the reward not being that much. Protoss need more beef I think and make the cannon easier to obtain. Awesome game and can't wait for more updates =D
Hmm, could ask someone to do some terrain work. That'd be a great addition. Good idea.
@GiveMeCake: Well, the truth is that a drunk monkey can terrain better than I can. Basically I'm more of a trigger/data editor kind of person with no artistic vision whatsoever. :(
Just posting to say great work! Keep it man, the maps really looking solid. I would like to see you play with the terrain a bit, but other than that it should be a solid map upon official release.
Mmm I just really would like for there to be something for the AI to compensate for lack of hero. Very fun to play though =) found the protoss stuff thanks ^.^ lol
@Dreathean: Thanks! The protoss buildings are at the top left/bottom right corners. I didn't want the NPC units to start engaging the cannons on their attack paths.
@creepycat: I actually have no experience with making AI. :( The range upgrade seems to work fine for me, though. Anyone else have this problem?

I love this map!! the Stealth has a problem that the range bonus is only apply to gauss rifle!? somehow I found the enemy base is very weak after I got like 20 levels~ Can the AI have their own heroes? that would be fun!
Dang this game is really fun =D I would like something for the AI to have to compensate for not having their own hero guy, like a boss unit or something interesting. I dunno, can be anything really. Just to where it's not like I'm gonna win no matter what eventually because I have a hero whereas they don't. ^.^. Hmm, what protoss units are there? Saw stuff about them in the previous patches. Do they appear after Thors or something? Because my game ended a good bit after having Thors in battle and stuff. Did Combat, gonna try the other specs ^.^ awesome game and good work man!
This map is a ton of fun. The talents are very creative. I'm still trying to break his front door but damn its hard :X
Actually I dont know how to value now about skills, cause against AI must effective to upgrade combat skills. And it needed to be tested 4vs4. Now it is just different game.
I noticed it will be cool, if it will be written how much you do damage with skill, cause now it just written "more with level up".
And I think heal 75 hp skill not useful at all when you get medivacs, maybe be it should be replaced with original heal skill like medivacs got?
Pressing Stop (requires manual input) while cloaked should hold fire once I get the next version out.
As for the comment about talents, I kind of understand what you mean. The main issue is actually just the fact that most of the Combat talents scale as heroes level up whereas the other two trees kind of just stay the same. Also, definitely getting rid of Unstable Gear. Used to be kind of fun imagining someone going suicide bomber into an enemy worker line, but probably not very practical.
It's a great map, I can't wait to play it 4v4. I just wanted to mention that the rocket launcher + Thrill combo, with or without the explosive ammo, is exceptionally powerful. I only mention this because I don't see anything with equal power in the other two trees. Stealth can hold its own with the Ghost Suit, the Recharge skill and Burst Capacity. However, Tech is just lackluster once you get deeper in the tree. The armor bonus is nice, and the stun works well enough, but it doesn't have the same umph as the other trees.
I'd love to see a hold fire command for the Cloaking Device if possible.
This is supposed to be a 4 vs 4 map, not a single player mission, so I don't understand the "too easy" part. ;) The idea behind AI vehicles not using their unit abilities is that it's a good idea to have someone on a team to specialize into Tech. Obviously an enemy player can demolish a giant pile of siege tanks with an Air Strike due to the massive cast range, but well-placed siege tanks should play an important role.
Since everyone starts with the same hero it should be fairly balanced in terms of player-player interactions. The main balance issues should be between talents/weapons/abilities. Let me know if there are any abilities or talents that you think are overpowered/underpowered/useless.
yeah now it working well. But I think it too easy.
And AI doesn`t put tanks in siege mod, and when you get in several your tanks and put them in siege mod, it becomes too easily to defense.
And I noticed, that you can change items in medivac.
Ah, the level 16 thing was something I set for testing purposes (will fix ASAP), just set it that way so I could immediately use all the spells instead of waiting until I leveled up that high. To switch items, you need to be at an armory.

but i dont understand, after level 1 hero become lvl 16, and how to get items? I`ve got about 11 skills in combat tree talents, but i cant get shotgun, or shield
