I was very happy with the release of the Starcraft I remake!!
I was only disappointed to see that the Raynor model was just a simple vulture model and not an adjusted one with the actual raynor model on top of it.
So I desided to make one myself to use whan I'm playing the SCI - Remake, here are some beauty shots, I changed the decal (logo in the front of the vulture) added frontt wings, added some exhaustions, and changed the driver to a low poly model of the Scinematic Raynor model.
Nice, had a crazy thought that you could make an attack animation where Raynor fires his handgun instead of using the Vulture, and it plays very rarely (i think you can set that somewhere), obviously could be used as a spell animation too, but yeah just something super random, probably too much work.
@TaintedWisp, really? Bald? he was bald in SC1 :) , damn didn't see that one
@Zarxiel93, Is it the Golden Falcon from the Logo? Than I could do that.
@others, yeah I just used the import export tool from this site to make it work, no idea how to add additional animation, and the problem is also that the hands are not modeled, neither are they done on the original one. But I will defenatly consider it when the StarTools come out :)
Wait, the portrait of SC1 is not very affidable, the Overmind is the perfect exemple, he was completly different in SC1 and in SC2 and in the artworks Raynor have long hair in SC1, for this I use the SC2 portrait of Raynor in my remake.
Hey guys, I did the decal, and it rendered fine in MAX 2013, but I'm unable to export it, cause when I do, all I get is a blank model in the SC 2 Editor :/
So I downloaded MAX 2012, there I got an error... now I downloaded MAX 2010, and it seems to export the correct format, but I haven't got the time to export/import my Raynor model yet... hopefully later today.
If I don't figure it out, I need your guys help, or I need to wait until the StarTools come out, but that would be a pitty.
Well I don't like the bald one, on nearly every artwork he is not bald, even the picture from ingame where he stand with his partners, he has the long hair artwork.
Anyways, I don't seem to be able to export the model correctly... yet :/

Oh, you were pretty clear on that, just wanted to share the last remaining evidence of the shaven Raynor. ;)
Too bad that you couldn't resolve the problem yet. :\ Wish I could help. ><
I did find out something, the model I try to export is the vulture (with one texture ) and the raynor model (with another texture)
If I remove the vulture an just keep the raynor model it works, and visa versa...
I now intend to use only one texture for the whole model and export it, need to test it, but hope it will work... I'll test it tonight
No luck I changed the texture to one texture, now the texture works fine, but no decal, and worse, no animation, also, I don't seem to get the model into the editor as a unit... :/ help?

You should shave Raynors head, he is supposed to be near bald with just a thin hair shade. otherwise awesome. really nice.

or just have him shooting with one and and still firing with the vulture at the same time.
very good, only one thing. Raynor's vulture have a golden falcon symbol, not the zerghis sneake

No worries, I totally dislike the raynor from SC1 once I saw the one from SC2 :)
So I won't change the hair nor the model, just the Decal on the bike, once I'm happy with the model I'll post it here for downloading

@TaylorMouse: Go for the decal on the bike here are some blizzard sources, one from SC1 and the others from SC2.
It isnt an exact match but alpha squadron's falcon would be a good start.
I too find the transformation weird and the old Raynor akward, but this has to at least be posted here, I think.
Edit: now that I'm seeing him again, all I can think of is this... DAT. MOUSTACHE.
