what do you want to tell me with that? Are you calling me a lier?
I am using the editor since sc2 release and that was 2010. and yes i registered later here. i am also not saying that i use the editor for 5 years every day.
If i remember right Ahli was saying something about work he did for Blizzard some time ago. You both from Germany, maybe you should contact him and see whats up..
Well since this "I am for Hire" has turn in to a "FunkyUN appreciation thread"
I will like to add a few things to say...I talk to Funky almost everyday, always looking forward to his new projects and ideas. He has put in my hands his trust and projects. Im always happy to see him on skype. He is always helping anybody that has a problem or has hit a brick wall on the editor. I think we have been there when we just want to throw the computer out the window and here comes Funky always saving the day or in our case our projects. You might not realize this but Funky has help in almost all the arcade games on Bnet. in one way or the other. What impress me the most is that he dosent have like 10,000 likes or reputation. We have seen his willingness to share his knowledge and capabilities for that I am the most impress. If you are not then you must be a Vulcan. Last and not least I want to say thank you Funky for putting up with a Wargirl such as me. :-)
Well, all I can say is that, while I don't personally know him, I've interracted with Funky in a very specific way: every time I searched for something on mapster, I stumbled upon a very interesting post and/or comment by Funky which either helped me a lot with my issue or gave me a whole new idea of doing it. So, yeah, he is indeed a very valuable member of SC2Mapster and StormCraft Armies wouldn't be possible if not for his unknowing help.
I thought it was profound and cool how his name, FunkyUserName, describes how it appears on this site, that being FunkyUserNarr. Such an insightful fellow!
Just want to say thanks to Funky here, read the "Im for Hire" post just in the moment i stumbled over an unsolved problem in my map and he helped me out very well!
Didnt even understood all aspects of what he did, his knowledge of the editor is outstanding imo!
Just out of curiosity, what kind of rates are you looking for?
As someone who is an independent contractor for a career, I certainly understand the strategy of "I'm not going to say because I'm hoping someone offers me more than I think I'm worth," but that feels a little used-car-salesman-esque, doesn't it?
I've been mapping for quite some time too and there's very little that stumps me anymore, but unlike my actual career, the supply vs. demand aspect really drives down how much a mapper can ask for. The only point of reference I have is seeing people offer to create data spells and abilities for $10 USD each, but that's barely worth it imo, especially when you take into account all the time and learning needed to even be a novice mapper.
it's a pay-what-you-think-it's-worth basis.
the used-car-salesman comparison doesnt fit because i sell a service not a good. also the customers know exactly what they will get because they define it, unlike a used car.
also ppl get to test the map/mod first (and as much as they want to) before i request anything.

You have join date: Sep 25, 2011. If you calculate your XP, it's less than 5 years(just 4 years and 3 months): http://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?d1=25&m1=09&y1=2011&d2=10&m2=01&y2=2016
Of course you could use sc2 Editor since 2010 and just don't register on sc2mapster, but i don't think so.
There are only a few mappers who sit here for over 5 years, and it should be since release of beta version of SC2 editor, april 2010.

@KorvinGump: Go You made an entire post to argue about a figure that is not important at all, and that you cannot prove. Seems stupid.
Funky is a long-time active member of the mapping community (Therefore, trustworthy)
Funky has been around for a while (Be it 4 years and 3 months, or 5 years)
Funky has completed projects (That he should link here)
The only thing that should be up for debate is what his time is worth in dollars.

I can recommend him vvery much, Thx for your help funky. I am satisfied with my issue :)
I hope you find some fun, Funky. One of the nicest guys in the community, and I've had some fun with his maps too.
Funky is also proficient at making lists
:D
But yeah, he's one of few active veterans who is practical (has a proven record of making things done), gives a damn and is helpful to have around.
