There was a big front page thread on reddit about youtube automatic bans and that anyone can do this to any channel. Don't think youtube will keep this system, it just doesn't work. But it will take some time before all those numerous channels get back after youtube fix this, because this is being massively violated.
MasterKD appears to be a victim of a recent copyright strike wave for all things visual novels or other niche Japanese video games. Kotaku covered another YouTube who got hit by a Japanese developer just yesterday.
If I've read that correctly, the cause of his channel takedown is because of some of his non-Starcraft II videos (Corpse Party to be specific). So as long as the other channels are not covering anything strike-worthy (especially Japanese games), they should be fine.
This is very unfortunate for MasterKD. YouTube really needs to straighten these processes out. It's entirely up to the claimant on how ridiculous the claim ends up being... they could have simply requested the videos be removed, or had them blocked in all countries as opposed to forcefully removing them and therefore incurring copyright strikes. Legally, they are in the right though and I suppose YouTube cannot stop copyright owners from enforcing as they wish, but it is an ethical dilemma in the age of digital media.
YouTube is entirely claimant focused because it has to be, legally, even though it's bad for them if more more content gets taken down and they know that. I had a background song get claimed in on of my campaign videos that was not valid; there was a song there that was probably copyrighted, but the song claimed was not the one in the video so I contested it. When you contest, all the claimant has to do it click the equivalent of "Nah, that's the song" and then it's reinstated. If I continued to contest, I'd get an automatic strike and theoretically would have to take it to court (which NO ONE will do over one claim). Overall a ridiculous system for a claim that wasn't even accurate.
Even if these Visual Novel claims are legit, and they probably are, there was no opportunity to take down the videos before a channel nuke, which is completely ridiculous. Even if bots were reuploading these constantly, there are settings to catch them without entirely eliminating the real folks doing it by blocking the video, giving a warning, and then they can remove them. The bots would then get taken down and real people can keep running... this seems like elementary stuff here but YouTube is all about aggregates so I assume certain scenarios just aren't accounted for :( The claims system takes the approach that every infringement is malicious spam trying to abuse monetization (again, at an aggregate level), and a lot surely is, though I wish they pulled a bit more for creators to give them an opportunity to fix mistakes instead of getting IP banned...

Yeah the whole system is out of whack. There is no requirement for the copyright holder to PROVE they are the copyright holder so it's not uncommon for strikes to come from trolls who just don't like a youtuber or people who are trying to steal their money. Then the system has no care for the actual law or the concept of free use. Now it is arguable if let's plays are free use but there are plenty of cases of actual free use all over youtube that just randomly gets struck down. Right now let's plays are honestly a grey area for the most part, but even worse, if you get permission to use something from the copyright owner, youtube's automated system might still take down the video.
It's a really dumb system that puts power in the hands of however wants to take something down without making sure that those people should even have that power, and than gives absolutely no protection to content creators at all. Of course this is all done because youtube is afraid of getting sued by people like nintendo or other large companies so they just do whatever their told.

Blizzard has nothing to do with this. He was banned because he had corpse party on his channel.

I should say, it's not BlZ's fault. Copy rights make the entire things became BUSINESS, and the lawyers got weapons that they need.
I don't thing MasterKD is earning/going to earning money from these " tort" videos. The develop team of "Corpse Party" is quite small, they should know the difficulties that small team/single guy will facing. It should be room for consultation. Shutting down someone's years efforts is hurt and cruel.
Hello sc2mapster
I am afraid I will have to be the one that deliver a very sad news.
One of the sc2 Youtubers facing banned for live, you can read the official announcement on his youtube page here :
If there are sc2 videos from the youtubers that you like, highly recommend to download it before they are taken down for good.

Considering uTube occasionally has lapses of enforcement that allow whole current movies to be viewed I doubted it would be permanent.
