How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

PLEASE NOTE that this is a completely unofficial, non-profit, fan-made remake and in no way affiliated with Activision Blizzard.
Nothing happens on level 8, 9, and 10 for me as well as 2
I assume this is something wrong on my end.
This zerg one has good good good terrain. (The terren ones wasn't bad, but this one is GOOD)
to grenegg: Old patch version, maybe?
Hi, guys! I didn't played the remake yet. You wrote "original SC1 units and structures". That i supose i need to get like there is original Zerg buildings like Sunken Colonies is playable? Can you import more screenshots here, anyway?
Also... The second mission didn't work at all.
:(
I started with a drop of 200/200 Hydras and mutas, then got mutas. but they kept rebuilding the blasted base!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @#%^#^%#%%#%#^$%%@#^%@^%!%!%$%#@$%@#$%@%#%$#$!#%!!!!!!!!!!%#^%#^%#^!%^#%!^%#^%#%^%$&!^!#%%^#$!$!$$!$!!$@$!!$#$$!$
Hey There Jones313, Just played through most of this campaign, I'm on mission 7, and all I have to say is wow. I love what you all have been able to do with this. A suggestion though, Wunterwaffen suggested Karaas's portrait for Tassadar instead of 'Ghost' Tassadar's portrait. If you decide to change his portrait I'd go with the Zakhul Preserver's one, if that's possible, instead of Karaas's it looks closer to SC1 Tassadar.
Otherwise it's really nice, haven't run into any noticeable problems on my end. However, this one seems somewhat easier than Rebel Yell, for me at least. Oh, and grenegg, 16 two weapon two armor mutas and you've got it made just hit the western cliffs and you shouldn't have too much trouble.
FYI this is all off of v1.0 haven't tried the latest version yet.
An update is out! Some minor bug fixes, main attraction probably being a fix to Queen movement.
Wunterwaffen:
When it's done... ...our heads in.
jpanside:
It works on patch 1.3.
grenegg:
I know you must be upset after getting destroyed in mission 3 like that. I don't know what to tell you, Chief, you get what you paid for.
Grenegg, I think mutas are a nice units don't they?
With both this campaign and the previous, i have found them to hard to enjoy. The first one was easy, the second just had a blank screen, and I quit on the third, were I used all available minerals and i couldn't get through their 5 tank fortress. I don't know what the fuck your thinking making them rebuild everything and giving them a block of 5 tanks with several missile turrets and marines.
I think its crazy what your doing here. For the terren campaign I skipped almost all of them.
EDIT: this was using 1.0, 1.1 doesn't seem to be any better though.
does this not work on patch 1.3?
When is the Protoss campaign coming out? I'm chomping at the bit here!
Is the mod a hack? No, but some people at Activision Blizzard responsible for the Starcraft 2 "online experience" might be. The maps are played offline, so no, you won't get banned. As far as Blizzard is concerned, you're not even playing the maps, you're just "testing" them before publishing them to battle.net. Anger... rising...
Whoops, you almost got me started there. Anyway, just play and have fun. Stick it to the Man!
Probably not.
am acomplete noob as far as mooding goes,is it possible that blizzard will think this mod is a hack and ban me?
Truart:
Okay, that is kinda strange. People seem to be having these random problems. :S Can't help you, sorry.
Wunterwaffen:
Okay, here goes:
1) I dunno, we'll see. Tassadar's ghost portrait is pretty badass, though.
2) Because she's too big in SC2. I changed her ranged attack to anti-air only, her ground attack is melee only, just like in SC1.
3) Hmm, maybe. The briefing music is good, though!
4) Well, it needs to be a close-up for sure.
5) A Cerebrate, what else?
Also, story-wise the Starcraft 2 campaign was... okay, but I'll probably stick to SC1 dialogue for the remake. =P
GnaReffotsirk:
Most fun you've ever played? Whoa. You're exaggerating, but wow. =P Also, thanks for the tactical input! Interesting to read how other people play the maps.
fish:
Well Gna already answered you, but yeah. I went heavy spine colony on the top bases as well, and pretty much kept Kerrigan stationed at the south. Reavers are indeed pretty nasty, you can use Kerrigan (or Mutalisks) to pick them off like Gna said, and avoid clumping up your units when you see one. Lurkers are pretty good by the way, if you can get them out in time. I also noticed the geyser issue, will be fixed in the next update.
Hey jones, I don't know if you saw my earlier post of my thoughts on the Zerg campaign, but anyway, you did a great job. I hope that in the Protoss "installation" mission you'll do the third person action game again. *pictures playing as tassadar chopping up a bunch of Zerg with psi-blades* The cinematic at the end was awesome. However, I might have put some sort of "cameo reference" at the end of it. After the Overmind says his lines, you see more Zerg attacking the cities, wiping out the Protoss, and as the city burns and Protoss are ripped to shreds, and as the screen slowly fades to black, you hear a Dark Voice:
"As I was your beginning, so shall I be your end!"
I got the extractor bug at the final mission.
Anyway, what I did was:
1. drone up the first minerals given. then build pool. 2. Move the ultras and kerri to the top-right valley. If not, zealots start attacking. 3. while pool is building, creep colonies until I reach the pass (bottom right). I placed creep colonies on the other top left as heavy. 2 colonies per volley of minerals. Until every pass is tightly packed with sunken colonies and spore colonies. 4. Nydus canal at bottom left valley. 5. Hydra den + movement upgrade. Then the goal is to get 24 hydras. 6. As they attack, then counter attack the middle left protoss base. By this time my mineral line had only about 1000 minerals total. 7. Expand and now defending using units.
I use kerrigan clocked to snipe reavers. I believe my victory was due to luck than tactics. Will try the mission again to see some other way to beat it.
Yeah, the one don't let any DT escape. Any suggestion how to beat that??
and by the way, there seems to be a bug that I can't build an extracter on the geyser at the 12 o'clock expansion.
Wasn't that mission the Culling? :( That's the mission I enjoyed the most. The don't let any DT escape mission?
