How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

If you're having trouble completing the campaign I've got difficulty throttling upcoming in a future update. In other words, I'm introducing an easier difficulty level. Stay tuned for that.
I think you went way overboard with the difficulty this time. I had no problem with the terran campaign and mission 1-7 of the Zerg campaign were fine too, but then i hit a wall. It's just ridiculously hard, because you have to rely on luck instead of skill. It's all a little bit too random...
Mission 8: I tried it 6 imes and gave up. 3 out of 6 times he instantly attacked my base with 3 Zealots and a few seconds later he attacked 2 canyons at the same time WHILE raping my base with air units.
Mission 9: Dark Swarm doesn't really work and getting attacked by 5 Archons + couple of Zealots + 2 Dragoons AND a huge air army consisting of 2 Carriers and a ton of other other air units every couple of minutes is just way too rough. Sooner or later the splash damage of the Archons just breaks my neck...
Haha i was laughing lots when i heard the HALO music xD

The white spheres and other stuff you're getting are model/texture errors. You're likely getting those because of the missing dependencies or maybe a corrupt mod file. It might even be a localization issue, depending on which region you are from. Try redownloading the mod file again. It's v1.02 at this link: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/sc1-episode-1-rebel-yell/files/6-sc1-mod-v1-02/
You lost me at "v1.03" because this campaign is v1.01 and the mod is v1.02. So I don't know where you're getting that from. Can't help you there.
The game words fine, just that i get little white blobs that represent units such as the Rever. Or blanked out upgrades which have been included. I have the patch v1.03 downloaded and placed in the mods folder. How do I fix this?
If Jones isn't already on Mission 2 then I can have a look at it.
Keyeszx
It's in the works; that's all I can say. Can't give an exact ETA yet.
When will Protoss campaign be out? I'm waiting for it :)
I'm a protoss player so I can't wait for it.
hahaha better hurry husky is gonna be up to ep 2 mission 2 in around a week :)
ep s2 still doesn't work. Tried waiting a minute after it loaded and during the mission briefing to check if it was just slow, but it still doesn't work :/
if it says now in the comment below i meant not*
still not working for me. i tried waiting a few seconds
onedaysnotice, try to wait a few seconds after the map finishes loading before pressing a key to launch the map. Let us know if that helps, and you'll help us in return!
Lossendal, open it with the editor and go to file>test document. Not the prettiest solution but it works.
Nope, still not working DX
I get stuck on the mission briefing at mission 2 :(. None of the ui comes up, only the background and the music, so I can't continue Dx. I don't want to skip missions or it'll just ruin the fun of it :( Plz fix. I restarted the mission 4 times and it still didn't work. Gonna try again.
Antithira
I'm going to be running through and bug fixing this episode later on. I managed to create a working Parasite ability during the beta and I should be able to correct this for the next update.

I never used a Mac so I can't really help you with that. I'm sorry.
Hey how do i play this on a mac? I've placed it in the mods folder, and the maps on a new folder as it wasn't there. But i can't drag the maps to the shortcut. It just doesn't let me. Is there another way to play it on a mac? I've tried using mapcraft and it says unable to launch game. help please :(
Loving this!
It is easier than Rebel Yell, but zerg is by far my best race, so I am not having to fight that uphill battle. I can say after using SC2 queens, the 3 larvae per hatchery seems so quaint lol.
the queens in the mods don't seem to have a working Parasite as in SC1, which makes me sad, but it might be a technical limitation.
Keep up the good work! haven't done 8-10 yet, so we'll see.
Centurian128:
Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at those Toss portraits (need to consult Ultraling as well). Easier than Rebel Yell you say? I was kind of hoping it'd be the other way around. =P Oh well, perhaps something could be done to crank up the difficulty in later missions (except mission 8, I agree that it's hard enough, heh)
I'm aware of the Spine Colony glitch. I'm thinking that some heavy maintenance on the mod file might be in order. Things are a little... messed up right now with the mod and the data editor. I'll have to talk to Ultraling about what to do with the mod.
As for the Khaydarin crystals, d'oh! My bad.... thanks for letting me know. I got a little sloppy there and apparently didn't test it enough.
JLogan:
Yes, the units & structures work like in the original. However, Sunken Colonies are basically just Spine Crawlers (Colonies) without the unburrow. I'll try to take some screenshots when I can be bothered to play the campaign again.
grenegg:
You cooled off yet? Those maps not working sounds a little random to me. I dunno, I'll see if there's a connection.
@grenegg: All missions work with latest version. Had a bit of trouble with second one as well, but didn't mention it as new version was out.
Go pure muta in your attacking forces, if your numbers start to drop below like 12 pull back and re-arm. Focus down SCV's when they pass if it won't cost you units otherwise focus on the turrets and marines and let the glave worms bounce around. Maybe 16 was a bit of a low estimate before go 30+ just in case. If you keep the pressure with smaller numbers then they won't have the chance to rebuild.
@Jones313: I've found a bit of a graphical glitch with the sunken colonies, after they attack the spine appears on the surface of the ground, outstretched and stays there. Colony's model is fine, the spine is curled like it should be, but a second, disembodied, one is lying on the ground in between colony and target. Could be something on my end but thought I'd let you know about it. Oh, also in Mission 9 during the second wave of Protoss for some reason a Kydaran Crystal just appears in my mineral line like they brought it to me so I never had to fight my way to the crystals and back again. Was really weird but I'm not complaining^_^ Happened in Mission 10 as well a crystal just appeared by my first extractor to the north right after a protoss attack.
Anyway, that's all with v1.01 and that's all I've found really save for that Mission 8 is just plain evil. >_< Dark Templar
