The second installment of the classic Starcraft campaigns. Uses the same mod file as the previous episode, and again, credit for the mod goes to MavercK. Also thanks to Ultraling for his initial work on the Terran episode, and GnaReffotsirk and others for the amazing unit models.
Features
- all 10 original missions
- original SC1 units and structures with original stats, including custom models
- original SC1 Zerg soundtrack
- all the dialogue, voice acting & other miscellaneous text from the original campaign
"Artistic License"
(some notable differences from the original campaign)
- Lurkers! Because who doesn't love Lurkers?
- Mission 5 "The Amerigo" - yep, like it or absolutely hate it, the third person "shooter" action is back

How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

@Jones313: Go Hi Jones313!!! If possible could you make a 4th (Terran) and 5th (Zerg) mission to the normal view from above as in all other missions. And in the fifth mission, when Kerrigan enters the room door must be shut down (three-doors) they are something are not closed, they are always open (look screenshot 1). Doors open after Kerrigan kills all, then get to the lighthouse and then the door just opened. If possible please do. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the update! :) As much as I love the higher difficulty in that campaign, I did feel An Eye for an Eye was a little too much, mostly because you have to split everything in three. Cheers for the change!
The Guardians are called Brood Lords, but this may be due to the new version of Chris' mod. I noticed that the Chrysalis is still practically indestructible, with 5000 hp and a regeneration of 10 hp/sec.Did you intend to leave it that way?

You'd need HotS to do the ice maps in Brood War. You could use the custom ice tilesets other people have made but they kinda suck compared to the real HotS one.
It's alive! Sorry for the radio silence. As I'm writing this, a minor update to the Zerg campaign is uploaded and waiting for approval. I'm not gonna lie, it's been months in the making and it doesn't offer anything major, just wanted to finish it to let you people know I haven't completely forgotten about this project. It turns out summer just wasn't the time for Starcraft mapping.
Unfortunately, I still don't know the situation with Ultraling's Protoss campaign (you should just consider it "on ice" for your own sake). The good news is, as Telenil already mentioned, christdaugherty has been working on a 3rd episode of his own, based on our maps and mod, and you should definitely check it out. Here's the link again
Chris(t) has updated the mod and it should be backwards compatible with the previous 2 episodes, which is also great. At a quick glance it seemed to work, there appeared to be a problem with a unit model or two, but other than that I didn't notice any issues.
School and work are trying to keep me busy at the moment, but the Brood War campaigns are still something I'd definitely like to recreate (or at least see recreated). It might take a HotS to fully start this project up again, but we're not done yet.
The first five missions of the protoss campaign are up, along with a new version of the mod correcting various bugs : http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/fall-protoss-legacy-sc1-campaign/

You're right, but it'd be nice to have them in missions 7, 9, and 10. As for warp gates, it would still be nice to add them, just as it was nice to add medics in the terran campaign.
@Wunterwaffen: Go
There is no reason to have warpgates as this was not in the original game. Note that we shouldn't have any dark templar tech in mission 8, since the briefing explicitely states that the Dark Templar are gone for this battle.
By the way, will we get to have Dark Archons in the last few missions? (Starting with #7 Homeland.) And can we please have warp gates too?
Well, I certainly hope so.
and also to MavercK and Most of all to christdaugherty! :D I can feel the Protoss Campaign's launch is very near :D
@CraftMasterTheBlackHayate
Man damn! Thanks a lot so much for that troubleshooting tip. That was my problem 5 months ago and someone finally figured that out 4 months ago :D Again Thanks a lot Man! :D
More power to Jones313 and Ultraling! and hopefully the Protoss Campaign can finally be launched! :D
Had any progress been made at all?
OMG I just realised, since you are adding non SC music anyways, please take my suggestion: Whenever Zeratul make an apearence you should play Magus's theme from Chrono Trigger. 8D
well the terran ending cenamatic does not have to be the exacte same just show alot of terran armys and zerg and protoss in it and terran domion destroying confederat amrys
About cinematics: I recall someone complaining about the text-only ending of the Terran campaign. Obviously doing a remake of the original cinematic was beyond them. (MAYBE it could be done, but it would be more trouble than it's worth.) The Zerg ending was very, very well done, even better than I expected. The Ovemind's death should wow us all. Even was impressive. (Sure there was a hive blown up to 8x it's normal size instead of the Overmind, but that was Blizzard's fault, not the creator's.) The BW Protoss ending will be tricky, but perhaps the temple (whatever building or doodad replaces it) can be shown with big effects like psi storms and glowing and then all the Zerg around the temple die. The UED ending will be impossible as a cinematic: text-only like in the original Terran camaign (as mentioned above) will have to do. The final cinematic will be very tricky. The first part can be a cinematic, but the "Dugalle's suicide email" part will have to be text only. Even the SC2 editor can only do so much.

Well said!! :D
The team has done an excellent job so far in providing us with a FREE project - we can't really moan about that! :)

If you will learn to wait and have patience, you will be very pleased in the end. Besides, they are not robots. If they do not wish to show the progress, that is their choice, like Blizzard did when they were in development of StarCraft II and the other games. If you do not learn to be patient, then go create your own remake of the Protoss Campaign and stop whining/trolling/posting your thoughts:
Well, it's difficult to wait when you have no clue of exactly what the progress is while we're waiting. We've been waiting for AM2R (link is below) for 3 years, and that was only after it was made public, which means it's been in development for a total of 6 years, but at least we have monthly updates so we know how far it's coming.

Dont be a troll, everyone has delays http:letsplaystarcraft.wordpress.com/ has finaly updated after a year of being down due to computer toubles and being in another country, but it was well worth the wait (he finaly did one of the unused missions I sent Him :D... mostly XD).
