Ignos Campaign
This is the newest version of the Ignos Campaign. The zip contains 8 map-files. 7 missions and 1 mission launcher.
Installation
Copy the "Ignos Campaign" folder into the Map folder in the Starcraft 2 folder
Open up the IgnosLauncher.SC2Map file and press "test map" button.
The mission launcher will then start.
The map files must be in the right folder for the mission launcher to work. Similar to this:
C:/StarCraft II/Maps/Ignos Campaign/IgnosLauncher.SC2Map
If the location is off the mission launcher will not function.
All feedback is appreciated.
Hello! We are the very Russian translators who translated your campaign. Tell me, how many missions are planned and when will the campaign finale be? And will there still be updates to old missions. Because it’s easier for us to transfer the translation to the finished version, rather than change something every time.
In reply to vlad302002:
Thank you for translating =)
To be honest I work quite irregularly and slow so it would best perhaps to just keep the 4 original missions as released for time being. I am putting up beta versions and work in progress to get input on how to improve so the NE- versions are not "released" per se.
I will send you a message when/if I get to a final version.
In reply to njordys:
I understood, I also have a request for you: put things in order with the missions, please do the normal numbering, because now you don’t understand the order even with your list. You can make it more precise, for example 1 mission, 2 mission. Also delete all old versions and fill in the new ones in the correct order. Because even now I don’t understand anything how to go about it and what I need to edit :)
In reply to vlad302002:
Sure thing. I've renamed the original missions to Ignos Mission 01 (Original) etc, to clarify that these files are the original "released" missions. I have also put all the New Edition (NE) missions to Beta version. Hope that clarifies it. :)
challenging difficulty with damn cool terrain/music design.
but map 7 sent too many of pods :P
In reply to crownbird117:
Thanks :)
Did you play normal or hard?
In reply to njordys:
hard, it takes more time but more fun
In reply to crownbird117:
I've thought about scaling down the pods as it can be hard even for me, and I'm the creator. But at the same time it is meant to be hard on hard difficulty :P
In reply to njordys:
yup, thats just a minor complaining :D
Ignos 04: I am not personally fond of the energy/shield recharge skill. Having to wait out a combat cooldown so the cooldown actually continues is frustrating and dull, and just pads out the mission with downtime. Perhaps a bunch of the over time effect of the skill needs to be put as base regen instead
A minor QoL change might be to have the attack speed increase reset the weapon cooldown on cast so players get the "optimal uptime" whenever they cast it, rather than having to avoid waiting 1.2 secs in case they start attack animation just as they use the skill.
Ignos 06: There doesn't seem to be a cooldown on rez, allowing you to perpetually rez forever.
Also, the factory produces units way too fast.
Edit: special mention for the custom music, that really goes well with the general vibe of the map.
In reply to TChosenOne:
A big part of the gameplay with Agdos is to kite/blink away from enemies long enough to set off a Restoration, but I agree that its bad that the cooldown freezes in combat. I've made an adjustment to reset the cooldown when combat debuff commences so you can fire it of the moment he leaves combat. Increased the regen bonus on both shield and energy as well.
Yeah, I need to add an cooldown on rez. The factory produces units fast but there is a cap on how many units it can make to avoid Karadros being too easily overwhelmed. Perhaps a transmission to tell the player to focus on the factory is needed.
Glad the music works well :)
Ignos 03: Still an absolute blast. Unfortunately I don't remember much about the last time I played it. Still a bit easy for me, but I've gotten a lot better in 2 years.
Removing the gas cost reduction really adds to the map since you gotta pick which high gas cost units you'll be adding. Stalkers play a larger role in overlord clean up because of this.
Unfortunately, upgraded sentries are super OP. Their heal combined with archon blink will allow you to save thousands of gas, and being able to chain AoE stuns allow you to take fights you really don't have the DPS for, like Primal Broodlord or early ultras. On top of that, it doing damage makes it a potent defensive tool.
In reply to TChosenOne:
Perhaps I'll tune the heal a bit down along with the effect of grasping grip, and increase the energy cost of those abilities. Thanks for feedback :)

The bi-yearly return from oblivion- perhaps to finish some maps before I return to the shadows ^^
In reply to njordys:
Cool, once you finish up your update plans, I'll play through them
Uploaded 3 and 4 mission
a really beautiful campaign, nice missions. I especially enjoyed the third map with the mountains view, blink has never been used so beautifully in any campaign including the original SCII campaigns. hate to see that you have stopped working on it since 2017, am not even sure this will be even seen LOL
