The items
In The Death Baneling there are different objects that can be collected to help you (or not!) to survive and/ or earn more score. Here is the list of objects with their effects. Note that the generator of weapons is not presented here but here. Similarly, the tumors are presented Baneling mode here.
The life
The rough score
The event generator
Take this item for trigger a random event that can influence the progress of the game. Only SCV which passes over the generator earns the score generated by the event triggered. This item also has the following characteristics:
- This object may appear during the 3 waves. - Some random effects are specific to a wave (it can not trigger them otherwise) as they interact with the terrain. - In 1vs1 mode up to 2 events can be combined and can counteract their effects. - A player can spend on a event generator every 5 seconds, otherwise it will not fire.
The boost
The boost is available during wave 1 and 2. You can store up to 5 boosts. To use it simply press the space bar. A boost gives you a big speed bonus for a short time.
This may allow you to spend faster a transition phase, get out of a difficult situation, or for leave a forbidden area (this is the only way if you want stay alive). In 1vs1 mode, use a boost allows cancel the effect of slowness pool
Be careful though, the use of a boost decreases the accuracy of your movement. So it is therefore more difficult to avoid Banelings.
The bonus multiplicator
Collect this item lets you enter Combos mode for some time. If you were already in Combo mode when you pick it up, then the clock of Combos mode is reset.
Every time you pick up this item you win a bonus multiplier. You can see the number of bonus multipliers you have in the bottom interface (the number in purple):
Each time you earn score, you win this score multiplied by your bonus multiplier. The bonus score is earned but not given directly. It is temporarily stored (it is the top number in purple). When you exit a Combos mode (if you're alive), you win all the score in store.
A gauge side lets you see how much time is left before the end of the Combos mode.
The shield
This object appears only in wave 3 and makes you invulnerable for a short time (unless you enter prohibited areas).
