Custom Campaign Initiative
The Custom Campaign Initiative (CCI) is a centralization of authors and projects that are intended to mimic the Blizzard single-player campaign format.
List of Custom Campaigns (With descriptions)
List of Custom Campaigns (Based on project status)
Check other pages of the CCI for tutorials and other stuff.
What level of quality is required for listed projects?
1) Mission can be played by using Starcraft II editor. Because this is Starcraft II editor community.
2) Map and Mod files are available for download. Because we want to learn from other campaign projects.
3) A series of at least two missions. Because one mission is not campaign.
4) Missions are playable as single player. Because campaign scene is designed for single player.
5) These two missions do not need to be up to date, polished and perfect, but playable with no show stoppers. Because we dont want to waste our time on very bad quality stuff.
CCI authors will check these requirements before listing projects but CCI authors do not frequently check projects after listing.
How does the Custom Campaign Initiative work?
The CCI is a bunch of people who work on their own projects but want to list their work under one project.
By listing all projects together each invidual project gains more downloads and whole Starcraft II campaign scene gets more attention.
The CCI works like Wikipedia. All authors are allowed to edit pages. This project is linking page so files are not allowed directly on CCI.
How do I join the Custom Campaign Initiative?
If you are interested in becoming a part of the CCI send PM to Terhonator or other authors of this project.

Thou it has come to my attention that some other author has now created the whole "path of the damn" campaign similar to what I have been trying to do. I will have to think about to continue my path of the brood. .
just wanted to thank you all that have been playing my maps and commented and so forth. It is really motivating for me! You are the best

Finally made it to work, almost give up on the difficulty select thing.
Editing the number of enemy is not to much trouble, editing boss bar to scale accordingly now that what made me almost give up.
@EDHRIANO: Go
You could ask someone to use their menu for difficulty level selection and just download it into your map. Then you got a framework to customize. It is what I did! Saves a lot of time.
About green/empty maps: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/general/general-chat/115724-why-campaign-maps-and-others-are-green-empty/
@Terhonator: Go
Actually that is a great idea. I think I try it for my campaign.
Perhaps something like this :
- Easy : Less to no enemy. Boss only have 75% of normal hp. For those wish to get to know the game and simply enjoy the story.
- Normal : Few enemy, give a bit challenge. Boss have full hp. For those who've beaten the game on easy and back for more.
- Hard : Many enemy, wrong move and you are done. Boss have 125% normal HP. The way it is meant to be play.
Now.... if only I can figure out how to implement the triggers to do that ...
I like the sprucing up that someone is doing!! :)
I have recently tested 3 campaigns and I want to rant about difficulty. I have lost in all of them in first mission with lowest difficulty! Remember that people who have not played your missions earlier do odd things, play "wrong" and are bad in general. As mapmaker you know every detail of your map. Dont let your knowledge to scale difficulty too high because it feels easy for YOU. Give more space for mistakes! Especially on micro missions.
I am sure that all mapmakers want that their maps are played by many players and players see all content in their campaign. Do not shoo away bad players with high difficulty. Or at least give difficulty options for maps. If you want to fine tune difficulty do it on normal / hard difficulty. Easiest difficulty should be as easy as Wings of Liberty campaign is on easy my opinion. This is so easy that it makes you laugh but trust me there are lot of people who are not good players or players like me who play on "lazy mode".
By "Lazy mode" I mean that I CAN play much better if I really want to. When people play maps with "lazy mode" they dont want to micro things or have high APM because they want to have relaxing play, enjoy story and terraining. If you dont remember how easy/hard Wings of Liberty is on easy difficulty I really recommend to do that.
I also want to remind that casual players dont save during missions. Save & Load should not be necessary on missions. Trust me, when people lost on first mission they dont want to restart the mission. They just ignore it and want their 15 minutes back.
Remember that you can easily put units active / inactive on difficulty levels. Attack waves are really easily scaled too. If you dont know what is good amount of units put only half of them as active with easiest difficulty. If you think 8 Marines is good amount scale it down to 4 just to make sure even newbies can handle them.
Well, I am planning on making a custom campaign that takes place all the way back when Auir fell to the Zerg.... I have the terrain for the first two missions done, and all of the custom units are done... I need some people that are able to work with the scripting as well as make the cut-scenes work... (I have the cameras ready)
Message me if you are interested, i also need help with story development....
Fixed some issues with a bunch of broken links. If any authors edit links, then make sure to check that they work!!
Also, idea for the day. A mission launcher that only has the backstory/general plot with accompanying units/terrains of each completed campaign on mapster. New folks coming in could see a more detailed explanation of the campaigns before they go and download them. Good way to showcase your work to other people. Perhaps a fun project for those mapsterites who are in between campaigns. Not for me!
I also support the idea of a companion facebook page to the CCI !! I don't really have a campaign anymore, but I support it all!! :)

I'm no content creator, but I like this idea very much! I would be more than happy to help in whatever way needed though.
Big idea of the day: what about a Facebook page for custom Starcraft content? I'm willing to run it and shell out the $5 to promote it every so often and reach a bigger audience, but I need content creators to send me screenshots and such to keep it up to date. Taking a page out of how successful the LotC reboot page has been, it seems like it could be very helpful.

Re: how to play.
I would suggest making it a separate page and link to it in this post maybe? That way it can be as big as it need to be.
Updated News today and moved the entire News section closer to the top so it's easily visible straight away for folks coming to this page.
Hopefully, Jayborino will be able to add everything in soon!
SCStalker, I sent you PM.
Can u guys add my campaign? Hockleberry said he would but he isnt online.
