BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.

@FinalWord I was complaining of the opposite problem not long ago. You're not supposed to win 2on1. The bonus is just to even things out a little bit. If you do win 2on1, you are very handily rewarded since the rating is calculated as beating a player ranked the sum of your two opponents.
nvm the popularity system is working as intended cept one problem: http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/17137-volatile-1-2-popularity/#p17

Anyone else having the inconvenience to scroll a lot for BETA? The new popularity system makes the list refresh a lot quicker and change up the lists. Not sure how exactly it works yet.
If you want to play BattleCraft a lot without feeling the need to scroll so much everytime, you can filter Tug of War maps and join "BattleCraft" instead. Tug of War list is a lot smaller than All or Custom list so you won't have to scroll as much. Currently BETA and regular are the same version so it doesn't matter which you join.
ok think i fixed the lurker thing
I think 2 v 1 is too hard for the 1. Basically a strat I find unbeatable is both em starting off aggresive, which basically forces you to use your 3 gas to survive, then one guy saving/sending only enough to let the other guy survive, then sending a doom army. The other guy then armagettons any army the outnumbered guy builds. If you deflect the doom army with an arm, they just save up again, and you're just delaying the inevitable. Any advice?
Lurkers create an instance of a hydralisk model everytime it burrows.
It's just a visual thing, doesn't affect gameplay (besides potential framerate drop when there's too many lurkers that burrow a lot). Trying to figure out why its doing that.
K I guess I was just crazy. Everything seems fine.

Hmm maybe I joined the wrong one? I did notice a plain "BattleCraft" map in the list, though I thought I joined beta. I'll play again later and be sure to check out the chat channel too.
Anyways, me and my buds are doing the "BattleCraft" Channel. Join if youre teh leets or want a nice battlecraft ingame community
Are you sure it was BETA and not 1.something? On the BETA .27 i just found its different, two games.
Just saw the bugs with weird buttons and infested terrans while playing "BattleCraft BETA." The next game it was gone, though lurkers still look like crazy hydra hybrids.
The lurker sprite is a burrowing Hydra
Alright uploaded a new version that seems to have fixed the obvious issues (giant infested terran virus, missing buttons) on "BattleCraft BETA"
Tell me if there's any broken stuff.
huh turns out the buttons weren't actually missing, they were just moved and superimposed on other buttons
Like the ghost button is on top of the diamondback button.
So far from my quick observations:
Once a unit a dies, they "resurrect" as a giant infested terran attached to themselves. Now once ANY unit damages that resurrected unit, they too get a giant infested terran attached to them. Any unit afflicted by the giant infested terran attachment will visually create a nuclear explosion upon death (no actual damage).
So this became some sort of infested terran virus! Have a feeling it has something to do with the way Blizzard changed the meaning of some actor event so I need to look at the giant infested terran actors.
Also a few missing and rearranged buttons, think i could fix this.
yeah things are not right. I made some ultralisks and their sprite was spliced with an infested terran, plus their attack animation and sound were of a nuke
looked impressive
I don't know. New patch might've broken the map. Need to check it out.
someone has messed with the battle craft map and it is dropping off the top ten any suggestions on who it inform to fix this?
@Zeplic
Try lurkers :P A good/moderately cheap counter I like to throw in is Mule, Lurker, Ghost if someone is sending something like Archon/Collosus, you will kill all his units and still have an offense that can counter most weak units
@Tordecy
I tried playing today in a regular (non aggro) game and was just messing around with this E rating and sent scourge with high templar, and all of a sudden my units turned into infested terran and ran around and turned everything they touched into what looked like an unstable gem explosion, basically shut down our game due to the graphics, and lagged everyone out. And it seemed like most of the Terran units were gone again.
I suppose my other argument regarding 2on1 being to strong is when I'm directly opposite the solo player and my ally is a noob. I can't win alone and I've had several instance of losing the 2on1 due to a dumb ally. On the flip side, I do enjoy easily stomping noobs and gaining rating this way.
@Zeplic
My answer to colossus/archon is usually infestors. I season to taste with marauder, vulture, lurkers, lings, ghosts, or whatever else as needed. If you wear down the archons you can also send corruptors or scourge to handle the colossi. Depending on the exact situation and how much money is available I think you have a number of options. You could add guardians to counter his ground heavy army. Sentries do a great job of tanking. Thor/colossus can be very potent if properly protected. Lurkers are great vs big armored armies though it takes a different approach to protect them since they are speedy when running but slow to burrow. You have to send meat shields both in front of and behind them.
