BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.
Original map from SC1 by: Spikes10012
Entered next game... non-rated :(
But rating is at 1075 upon entering and exiting.
Alright, here's the scoop...
Continuing from the last post.... where I went from 1000 to 968. I won a game and my rating went up to 1060. I won again and it dropped to 996. I just won again and upon exiting here it says 1118.
My rstats are wrong as well. They say I'm 6/4 and I haven't lost yet.
It's almost like it knows the correct rating, but it's displaying it wrong. I'm guessing I'm going to enter the next game back in the 900s and leave in the mid 1100s.... assuming I win.
PS. It's not just me, I've ran into 2 other people mentioning they are losing rating when they win. I didn't ask them if they died but still won, so maybe that's their issue, but it isn't mine.
yea ratings change a lot when you're a novice
Rating seems to be working fine, though it seems i just gained 100 rating from a single 2on1 win.
I can't find another rated game :(
seems ok ratings loaded correctly
i see some people w/ positive ratings (1032) at the start of the round
hm that's weird lemme try it out
hopefully it's just the first game Does it to the same thing on 2nd game onwards?
So I just played a game, well two actually. I can't find the non-Beta game, so played Beta. My ratings and stats were wiped.
I beat the guy in my lane and then beat the guy in the other lane. Game over, says I gain 32 points. In my next game my rating is 968. Unless this is now a race to "0" I think there's a signage issue somewhere.
it's quite a bit of loading, if at least one person is lagging then everyone else in the map experiences it
Ya, I have 1000 games myself, and would give them up as well if it fixes the problem as much as it would hurt. I'm a numbers guy and seeing numbers disappear sting, but do what it takes.
Before you do that though, the "lagging" can happen anytime during the game, not just at the moment that stats appear to be being loaded. This lagging behaves much differently than normal lagging. Once you've seen it a couple times it would be hard to confuse it with normal lags.
@ Transmogrifier
btw 2000 games o_o that's a lot
Alright tell me if it still crashes.
Like actual crash and not occasional freeze. Occasional freeze is normal due to possible lagging from other players.
They're playing BETA probably because beta's is not crashing :]
I'll update both soon. They're the same version so it doesn't matter which is more popular.
Everyone is playing BattleCraft Beta, is the regular map up or did someone just start making beta games with the reset?
Let me reiterate on the current rating categories:
Everyone starts as a Novice (Pink E) regardless of rating. Your K = 64 here so ratings change a lot. After you played 5 rated rounds, your rank will change according to your rating:
J Amateur = 700-799
F Amateur = 800-899
D- Amateur = 900-999
D Amateur = 1000-1099
D+ Amateur = 1100-1199
C- Amateur = 1200-1299
C Amateur = 1300-1399
....
A+ Amateur = 2000-2099
All amateurs have a K = 32
2100-2399 rating have K = 24
2400-2699 rating have K = 16
2700+ rating have K = 12
I'll trade 2000 games for not having to restart SC every 2 or 3 games. Do it!!!
hmmm I might have to reset all the stats
The cause it something incompatible w/ 2.3's stats w/ 2.4's stats
So what do you guys think? Mind a total reset?
It shouldn't take long to get back the rating you were at. Besides it's nice to get a fresh start and seeing all the icons change! :X
btw is it still crashing with the new SC2 version (1.1.3)?
@StormBlah
Have you tried playing "BattleCraft BETA"? Has that ever crashed for you and can you observe the memory usage for that map too?
I think the memory usage is normal. If BattleCraft is the first map you played during your session w/ a campaign dependency, then it has to load a lot of the single player assets. Although I won't rule out memory usage as a cause yet. It seems plausible.
Sent you a link with a replay showing the problem with both opponents leaving.
