BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.
Original map from SC1 by: Spikes10012
It's a best of 3, so it'll be 3 rounds if both teams are tied.
By default there is only 1 round. However, it'll extend to a best of 3 format if the first round lasts very quickly (like under 5 min). This happens automatically unless players vote YES or NO to the extension.
There's an extend button on the bottom left where you can vote how it happens.
Hello,
One question and one feedback:
Why are there sometimes 3 rounds, sometimes 2, and sometimes only 1? Am I missing something or is it a glitch?
The feedback is, way too many ppl leave after the first round. Some of that is because they just don't know, but also partners are impatient and they often get bored if the round lasts a long time after they get killed. Personally it doesn't bother me a whole lot. The only solution I can think of is for there to be a time limit after the first person dies. Not sure if that's a good solution, but it's the only thing I can think of.
Thanks.
Is it actually crashing as in SC2 closes and some error report shows up, or is it a long freeze that'll eventually unfreeze?
Does it always crash or just sometimes? Does it crash in single player?
Crashing. =\
Tell me if the 4 vespene thing still happens. I hope I fixed it.
Will it crash if you play alone with computers? Trying to isolate the problem.
any idea on what is causing the crashes yet?. I love battlecraft but I cant play anymore :/
I asked a replay from another person too but he gets a desync error also.
No problem viewing my own BattleCraft replays yet.
The player whose life crystal was damaged had been killed first in round 1. I'd check the replay but do they work yet? I've always gotten a desync error when trying to view BattleCraft replays.
Was the damage carried over from the prev round? Or was it some random damage.
I think in the case of the 2on1 the player left in the lobby countdown, but it may have been in game.
I have no explanation for the life crystal thing. The guy said "Hey my pylon is damaged" during the 2nd round voting period and sure enough it was. No units had been spawned yet that round.
That one player left during the countdown right? And then the game started on a 2v1?
Hmm I'm not sure how the starting w/ 4000/5000 hp thing is possible. Every old life crystal is removed and then a new life crystal is created at a new round. Were there any units spawned during the vote countdown of 2nd round?
Glitch: In the second round of a 2on2, the player who died first in the first round started with a life crystal with depleted HP, around 4000/5000.
I saw the 4 vespene thing happen. One player left in the lobby, the solo player won the 2on1, then started with 4 vespene in the second round.
Yup I've had a few successful games and a few where it just loads, says waiting for players, then eventually says I was dropped and takes me back to the main SC2 screen.
This crashing is odd. I'm still trying to figure out why it's happening for some people.
It doesn't happen to me directly but if at least one person in the map is experiencing it then everyone else might.
ever since the new release I have been unable to play a single game. the map loads then says waiting for the other players to load. after a while it says at least one player is lagging and the drop button is there but if I touch anything the whole game freezes and I have to force close it. I have played other maps so I know that it is just this one.
Horray for a new release! Here are some bug reports!
It is not obvious that there are multiple rounds, so both players on the other team predictably quit as they were about to lose. When round two came up one of their crystals was still alive but my teammate and I could only attack towards each others. So there was no opponent and no way to win.
The next game loaded up and crashed starcraft. That was awkward
also in fog mode my ally had vindicators but no vision of them
Too impatient to BETA test since no one would join or was on, so i just released the newer version. Figure I get faster feedback this way.
Anyway, there's a glitch where the lone player in a 1v2 starts w/ 4 vespene. He should only start w/ 2. If anyone can describe to me the instance in which it happens, it'd be great.
I'll be goin to sleep now so I expect lots of comments (on glitches) after I wake up! :)
Which would just artificially inflate everyone's egos
I was thinking about adding a bonus pool thing similar to how SC2 does ladder ratings.
