BattleCraft
Push spawned attackers toward the enemy side to destroy their life crystal while protecting your own. Pick the right units over your enemy to push through your enemy's attackers.

I'm remaking a classic from SC1 for SC2.
Recommended players: 2 [1v1] or 4 [2v2]
Some details:
- Buy attacker armies at the top left corner of the map. Each individual unit purchase creates an army of that unit. These units will automatically attack toward the enemy's life crystal.
- Buy defensive structures and heroes at your Life Crystal. In addition to minerals, these special units require vespene gas.
- Mineral count increases automatically. To fasten the pace of game as time goes by, income and vespene gas increases as you kill more units.
- For more convenient purchasing, hotkeys are initiated at the start for each player. [1-4] are for buying attacker armies while [w] is the life crystal.
- You can still play with/computers by adding AI for a player slot. The AI just makes random units so don't expect it to be any good.

Release the new version and get rid of aggro mode already. Getting tired of losing because my ally sucked and then aggro works only against the 1 in 2v1.
After another flurry of games with players who have no idea what aggro is I have a feature request/suggestion:
After voting ends, have a short message in the center of the screen saying the outcome of the vote. If aggro is selected, have it read something like "Aggro is on! Make units before the timer runs out or bonus units will spawn for your opponent!"
The timer might also need to be more prominent. Lots of new players don't even realize it's there.
It seems there are lots of new players that hate aggro b/c they can't figure out why for the past 15 games they've been crushed in 60 seconds every time.
I'm suggesting if there are 3 people in the match that FFA turns on and you are able to choose which way you attack :). Maybe even if there are 4 people and enough people vote for FFA? Just a suggest, kind of sick of people leaving as soon as the game starts.

is there a test map uploaded yet because I'm dieing from suspense.
Aeldaar, you will pretty much always lose some points for losing any game, even if it is a fraction of a point. However, if you lose to two 1200 ranked players, you only lose 1.7 rating. If you beat them, you gain 30 points.
The formula:
Ra = Your rating
Rb = Opponent (or opponents) rating
Score = 0 if you lose, 1 if you win
Expected score = 1/(1+10^((Rb-Ra)/400))
K factor = 32
New rating = Ra +k(Score - expected score)
I really like this map, it was the firts costum game i played.
And i played it like 10 times in a row lol, i nearly nerver lost.
my rating is around 1900, so I do lose rating if I lose a 2v1
Yes please =)
Think i'll upload a test map so y'all can check it out.
Duuude Tordecy
Its been almost a month since a real content update on battlecraft =( How long will you leave me squirming
what
Well it's most certainly possible to achieve super high ratings due to the lack of random matchmaking.
People can just setup private matches to get their ratings up. There's no way I can setup matchmaking because that's outside the scope of the map. :(
I commend him for his dedication!
The guy with 3200 is my friend. He did it legit.
This question of ratings reminded me of something that I was curious/jealous/suspicious of. I saw a player who was ranked 3200. I was surprised to say the least, as I'm ranked 1800 and 2200 was the highest I had previously seen. It seems practically impossible to attain a rating of 3200. An accusation of hacking is the greatest flattery in online gaming, but is it possible to access and modify a local file to change your rating?
A few quick calculations show that at a rating of 3000, you're only getting just less than 1 point for beating a pair of players rated 1200 each. I guess you could just be a really, really dedicated player and do hundreds of games hoping for enough match ups where you even have a chance to play 2on1. I'd think it pretty near impossible to beat a team ranked ~1300 each or more. By then they should know to armageddon a solo player and end the game within a minute or two.
If you lose a 2on1 in aggro mode as the solo player you should experience hardly any drop in rating at all since you're measured against the combined team in that instance.
Please please please revert the change where when a player leaves their crystal is destroyed immediately, bring back shared control
If a teammate leaves during the loading screen you don't even get an income advantage. Then if the other guys vote aggro, you just lose rating for no reason
I think the Life crystal should slowly reg HP like the tentacle towers do =)
I dont mind players leaving... I mind them leaving and not giving me the rating I deserve... Fighting 2v1 with two 1500 rating partners is not by any means easy. lol These asholes make me rage when I beat them down and they just leave game... The loss might count on them but the win is not counting for me or something.
Also that had nothing to do with a 4v4 map. 4v4 map would be awesome for me and my friend. We could let our allies get raped and then 2v4 the rest of them for rating gain... Sucks I still have to play solo for rating gains.
Also 2.4 version sounds like it is going to add a lot of spice to battlecraft for me... So I have been waiting for it.
The Scourge Unit I mentioned earlier would work similar to the way Scourges worked in SC1... They would only hit shoot air targets, probably not effectively. Their main purpose would be to get armies that travel with colossus to stop and shoot at them or even turn back. To make colossus vulnerable. A specialized Colossus type killer. They could also be used to hold up air so you can handle ground attack units separately. I see a lot of fun uses for a unit like this... You have a bunch of units in version 2.4 I would like to check out.
whoops
