Project Warfare trailer by Blue Isle Studios
Subsistence, formerly known as Project Warfare, features two unique factions, the United Defense Coalition and the Sentinels with new units, powers, and abilities. Subsistence places great emphasis on single player and storytelling, featuring a brand new campaign spanning battlefields around the globe. Gameplay revolves around capturing and holding resource deposits while building your bases and armies. Upgrade individual mech units with weapons and armour, call in an airstrike or bombard the enemy from an off-shore battleship.
If I didn't tell you this was an SC2 map, you'd think this was Command & Conquer by the amount of custom models, units, etc they have included in this project. From the looks of it, these guys will go far, being one of the very, very few total conversion maps out there. You can also check out more screenshots on their brand new website.
I'm not surprised. This is the new generation of modding: only for money.
@xSun: Go
Worry not brah. Worry not.
I'm defenitly going to buy this when it comes to the marketplace. If it's not too expensive....
Fantastic, it holds great promise. Perhaps it will be the crowning achievement of the community.
Haha, yeah, my first thought was "Is this supposed to be Command & Conquer: Starcraft Edition?" :D
I can't wait for the marketplace! (Mainly cuz I'm going broke waiting for it =D )
Looks great and all, and I grant enthusiastic mapmakers every penny they get, but still the marketplace thing makes me sad. I try to see the pros of it, but I can't help but see the old modding times coming to a bitter end.
Heh, if this is what I think it is, I know that Zelda has been on your arse for a while now to get this trailer to us.. so grats :)
Also, I am impressed.
Is this the month for all the cool SC2maps to release. I mean its been one trailer after another of professional maps.
Makes me want learn how to make models in my Autodesk d3. Anyway amazing post and just goes to show the huge amount of possibilities that can come from the editor. If blizzard works everything right they could really be making a mint off of small game makers like Blue Isle Studios.
Got a paycheck from these guys for a quick bit a few months ago, was lots of fun working on this between jobs. Best of luck to Alex and the team, good people.
WOooah... when is it coming out?...
makes me think about sc market place... people would totally buy this...
Looks very professional and polished - including video production and graphically. Wish you guys were part of my team =P
Sick - just SICK!
Is that the big things from Crysis 2 in the end ? :D
very very cool, doesn't look like sc2!
