Why should it be a tech demo? Just because it uses physics and their portal system so much?
As far as I saw it it's a fully fleshed out game. Not perfect, then again no game is perfect.
Also - the game features an "edgeless safetly cube". That's the best designation for a ball I've heard until now.

I may buy portal 2. I was never interested in the original, and I buy almost every Valve game. I actually just bought portal 1 today to see what the hype was; but I was correct, it is definitely not my type of game. Maybe portal 2 will be better, but the puzzle style didn't really do it for me ><
the final level isnt a "puzzle style game" you need to play till you get to there.. to understand what portal really is imo =P

This just got about 100 times more amazing than I already thought. (and I already had high expectations after hearing what sixen said about him doing this because he knows for a fact its top stuff, and that you guys worked hours on end).
Can't wait to see and read more info, this might get me to dust off my sc2 icon.

I dont think thats a fair question... its like asking "On average, how much time does it take to create something..interesting or challenging for sc2" it depends on what, how, mods, use of redstone, group project...ect. theres no way to say lol.
Personly just building stuff to build in MC isnt fun to me, i LOVE pvp servers, were you builds your fortresses and people can loot your chest, so you have to make complex redstone vaults and puzzles to keep your stuff safe, love that crap.
Hey hatsune, thats something youll get an answer to faster over in the artist tavern section of the forums... I know you can change the path via 3dmax.. however im not 100% sure how to do it in WMV (tho there is a field for it) Ill miss around with it and see what I can find, as I have run into that problem myself

yes there is..and I dont like it as much myself, but thats just me. (the the "mini" credit song before the credit song is more awesom.
