Wait your taking over? This makes less and less sense, No offense, but you havent really been an "active" Moderator for nearly a year. Thats like putting EW or DarkRev in charge, sure your good moderators, but You are not really active... lol
no, but i'm active on two major curse sites, and work for curse.
And the truth is, mapster runs itself with the current staff. The moderators right now do an amazing job.
with that said we are still in the middle of contacting people right now to see whats going to happen, on a personal level I want sixen to stay. This whole thing caught me by surprise, Zelda had to catch me on skype when it first started ( there has been a backstage thread which we have all been active in for a few weeks now) .
Just to add to this, nothing is going to change with mapster (the site) (in a bad way, at all) as of right now, ill just be looking over mapster. Ideally Sixen will still be around as well! some contacting will have to be made... but we shall see what happens.
I have been a mod here for a rather long time, but thats all thanks to sixen, and sixens idea for mapster. I really don't want to see him go, so we will be trying hard to come to some solution (I hope!)
I'd say both can be provided in digital form, even the behind the scenes dvd. But I'm not sure how they will distribute it since this is the first time Blizz provide a Digital Deluxe edition. Or they might even decided not to provide it at all.
I'm going with the 3rd option, it sounds lame
They did this with wow already, not the first time for them. youll at some point by able to buy the soundtrack, but the art book and behind the scense will remain a CE only until they do some special "Blizzard behind the scene thing" if they do that. (This based off the wow DC version at least)
^ Only some WoWer would do that I guess... sounds kind of useless to me.
Well.. great news, finally release date! But 40 Euro? I understand new content and all but some of the content like stats per race per map had to be since the beginning so.. This price would be justified if it allowed us to get a HotS beta key too..
Can anyone confirm to be with beta? Didn't WoL had something like that?
They said no PVP, but blizzard likes to only tell half truths, like the no chat channels, there was In lobby chat still. So I wonder If just maybe there will still be basic Duels at launch.
there never was going to be duels, also bashiok already tweeted to that, no deuls, only arenas (and arenas are not in)
I don't know if they actually are, but I saw a story that it's more than just Wikipedia and Reddit. Lemmie find the link...
(LINK found)
If you can get Curse on board to join by then, by all means, they should. SC2 mapster could even if Curse isn't going to.
google and the likes are only removing their home pages... EX google cant just shut down, they would lose thousands, they also have contracts among many other things.
which that is something I like, so many people use the home page...so it gets the message accross, but they are still maken sure their product is working.. so people dont get ticked...google has the right idea.
no, the mods here do not work for, or represent curse. 100% voluntarily working on the site, and have no direct contact with curse.
I honestly dont like the idea. I understand the the big sites doing, as it will make some people aware.. (I also do not support the SOPA act) but the truth is, it will not effect any curse site (the other bills being passed with it will..which is where people seem to get losts as all the sites lable it as one bill), second I would be pissed if it happend, almost 60% of my daily sites I use are curse based.. if they took them down I would be rather ticked. Also a lot of viewers who search google for question on moding, would find the site down, and honeslty would care less and move to another site, thats also not good.
Im already kinda pissed that reddit is doing, as I use that for a lot of reasons.
Anyway the post above is MY view, and has nothing to do with curse (as I already said , we, the mods, have nothing to do with them) Also keep in mind, Most of the viewers that view curse sites...already know of these issues... its on "our area" of what we deal with each day
Sites like reddit and wikipedia get people that have no idea of what this is, which is why, even though pissed about it, am a bit glad they are doing it... doing it here.. really wont do anything.. I understand the idea "another big network is taking it down" adds impact.. but meh.. I rather view my sites, as the impact would not be great. =(
In the end, the only thing people can do is read the bill themselves and take it for what it means to them. There are so many BS rumors going around for both pros and cons about it, its just down right dumb.
anyway like Is said thats just my thought, id rather not see it go down, but w/e
edit; to add a little more.. your also not thinking about the people behind it... curse would lose a lot of money with their sites down for a day... but the issue is your thinking about it as a company... what about all the other people working for them on sites, as content managers..ect? thats a day without pay... thats not something I wish apon them,,thats kinda another reason im not to for the idea of curse going down. But like i said, just my view =)
(also I know someones gonna try to say, well if sopa passes they coudl all lose their jobs for good...ect..ect thats not true at all and for another topic)
Anyway, though I dont agree with your idea lonami, I respect that your trying, and not sitting around and doing something about what you believe, I respect that regardless. and wish you luck either way.
on a side note: what I would like to see: ESA does E3.. its to bad sony and MS support sopa.. I would love to see E3 dead this year =/ thats something I would support in.
this is 100% free also... and i think its easy enough for me. I seriously had to click maybe 4 times and it started workin for me.
Point being for most people, teamviewer isnt the way to go, as people usually feel its a security risk (which if used correctly it is not) while the adobe connect runs right in the browser, whats even better is you dont need to get the friends teamviewer code and password, its a fantastic solution for people who dont know one another and done wish to use teamviewer.
Plus they dont have to install something on their computer which a lot of people also dont like to do =P
actually teamviewer people dont like, you have to install stuff..and it just freaks people out. If its someone you know then its not a problem.. I suggest this
Hey I did a random monk build and no images showed up... just an fyi...
Also did you have to do the same thing i did with regards to their URL: figure out what each letter stands for, for each class... I hope they don't change it often lol.
I just took a look at their array, and had a php script I made auto cut the images and name them for me so it wasnt a big deal...
Also...can you paste the battle.net link you used..and what style did you pick?
if your
or
those were made while I was updating the system, it just didnt send you to a correct ID

This thread really should be closed now, until sixen replies.

https://acrobat.com/app.html#o
its 100% free (I think the free one lets us to 5 people? or at least use to), runs right in the browser, it uses adobe connect software.
