    Or so I hope for you. From what a friend told me, a lot of servers have been banning everyone that can't show a buyer's hat because of the huuuuge amount of cheaters, griefers and AFK leechers that game with the free to play mode.

    uhhh most servers use the anti cheat system..which works rather well.

    If you lose the hand, you should lose all your bet like in normal poker, but are allowed to fight with 20% of your bet to try and reclaim it through battle?

    True, I read it as you get 20% of it all... getting all yours back and 20% of the rest would solve it.

    I think everyone saw this coming to be honest... im surprised if anyone is honestly shocked. Their hat store is doing AMAZING. By maken the game free, they are opening up the ingame store to more users. I wouldnt be surprised if they make a great deal more money haven the game free than haven to pay for it (just like mmo's go free to play and end up maken more money)

    to expand on this... if multiplayer on portal 2 really starts to open up. (lots of GOOD custom maps...ect) I wouldnt be shocked to see the price of portal 2 drop drastically as well (as they have a ingame store as well)

    yeah thats basically what I was thinking. But if you add more than just marines.. you can get some more "interesting" combat. But another issues with the idea that I just thought of. if you only get 20% of all the marines better, then if you bet very high, everyone folds, you end up losing more than you earn... which seems odd if you won (then again if you have more on the board then I guess youll win the fight, this returning more marines.

    But also some of the fun of poker is guessing when they are just bluffing.. with the battle, you may just want to high bet no matter what, just to get a lot of unites on the field for the battle after...

    Im sure with some thought theres some good solutions for this problem... regardless even if its just a plan poker game, i'd be fun to have on b.net.

    This could have possibilities... obviously a normal poker mode should be in.. but would be neat to have a "battle to win" at the end of each hand mode.

    First, you could bet different things. 1 marine = 2 zerglins = ...ect 1 ultralist = X marines... or w/e so you can "bet" not only raising your opponents in points, but strategically picking unites at the same time. The winner of the poker hand would get a buff to his unites, then the battle would take place. Some fun game play could be had in that small battle. (more so than just marines) Tho this would bring issues on "what do you "win" at the end" if all the unites are dead.. you didnt win any "poker chips" .. but you get the idea.

    But none the less would be fun.

    I agree on that it could be misleading at first not accounting for that very fact. However as Zelda said, curse does have account on top end resource sites that monitor such hits on curse site..ect, the numbers are surprising even now.. (shocked me tbh). But yeah, I dont think videos now are getting those kind of hits.. and depends on the day the video was upload...ect (Site is Very slow on some days/times..ect)

    they were made in a lab, not "infested". they can make up w/e rule they want.

    edit: exactly what grey said. Didn't know they couldn't be infested tho, but like I said, they can easily change that as they need to for the story.
