Hello I need some help in crating an event. below is the defult settings when you click 'new action definition' in the trigger editor. All i changed was the Options: Event. does anyone know how to do this stuff? lol. my goal is to make an Event that fires when a unit is targeted. currently in the triggers i can only find things like unit is attacked, i want it before it is actually attacked. so any help is great, thank you.

What does "build flags" do or how they affect the trigger?
sounds alright but the problem you might run into is that there are already 1000games like the one your describing. suggest making something on your map that would be one of a kind to seperate it from the others. good luck.
thank you those are great, but what is FF's? LOL@throwing a reaper thats unique. get nukes from ghost is good but can you imagine a bc with nukes. good god. :D

there need to be abilities for natives and aliens separately.
Natives: terrain cloak, being they live there they know how to hide from the enemy (aliens), another is kills add a kind of income for them, maybe like a research point being they killed the alien that is more advanced. maybe make an native get stronger the more kills he gets meaning he is getting better at killing, warrior idea. also maybe an ability that tells the location of a unit that dies. like a beacon or ping of the dead, or even make the ground where they died a toxic spot for aliens, indian burrial ground idea comes to mind.
Alens: a gun that does not need a target to fire against. meaning it can shot the terrain, such as the alien thinks there is a native he can shot with out actualy seeing him. an ability that can cloan himself and the cloan can grab the native and hold him if visual. a hand gernade that spawns spider mines (cluster bomb idea) an ability that a unit can use to hover over the ground (preventing attack from natives) for a limited time.
here is what i got so far, you can 'type' in the command to build any unit or structure in the game and the computer will build it. so you can type the word barracks and the computer will build a barracks and so on, lol. dont know if this sounds bad but in tests the computer builds/works better than i can play. o O. lol currently working on getting them to expo or make additional towns/bases... :D. any suggestions as to cool or unique things you would like to see...?
I have an idea for a new kind of game. pretty much everyone has played cortex and know that if you "type" in certain commands it affects the game. my idea is that you are paired up with a computer AI as an ally, your commands determine how or what the computer does. so in essance the person that is the smartest at controling/programing thier AI computer would win the game. good idea? what you think about this? :D
if you want a computer to do nothing/over ride any built in ai just remove this trigger:
Melee - Start the melee AI for all computer players
when you do that the AI for computer units is gone and it will just sit there. then just create your own idea on what the computer should/could do for ya.
being your open to suggestions here are a few... being it sounds like 2 races you could make it so that a ''resource'' is killing the beasts/alien/enemy. like native american indians would use thier pray as a resource for several things like food, cloths, tools, ect. EG: kill 1 zergling get 1 gas so you can use to make one supply depot. or something like that maybe 10lings for 10gas for 1depot. can play around with the numbers. "advanced" structures like the society has evolved could give resources automaticly being time has passed. IF beast/alien/enemy is a playable person, you can make it so that its not based on buildings like humans are but based on territory..... EG: income based on how many creep colony's you have.. creep colonys make creep and there for more territory... also make the creep invisable so as to not clue in the humans where thier base of operations is till its to late. preditory like in all, lol. hope this helps some :D
i am creating a map where you can steal/absorbe/get the ability from another unit after you kill it. i have all the protoss units set but i would like help with terran if ya could, what would like to steal or get from the following units:
Very interesting indeed. the problem with players being human race and 1 god is, if the god is going to be one sided your f'ed hard. you will have 7vs1 roll fest going on... imo there is to much of a chance for abuse. so how you can avoid this epic abused game play is make everyone on the same level. 7gods 7AI's. the 7gods would have Passive ability's that can Aide thier computer to victory. examples would be exposing your enemy's position for your computer to attack. or giving them extra mineral fields or vespene geysers at thier base. making a beacon for your computer as an attack point. that could be good being if your computer masses an attack at the wrong time you could totaly expose the base at most i would consider an ability to buff your computers units for a set amount of time, like a stim pack.
i have seen many people post and under thier name it has a Reputation: number... what does this mean, how do you get an increase in rep. how do you even get rep.? Guessing its something the moderators give ya or something from the admin. does...? i dont know. i have seen some in the 100's. o.O. any explanation? :D

I created this game where if you kill your own units they become stronger. Here is a list of units and what happens when you kill them. Also it should be noted that its only a 1 generation unit evolution, otherwise there would be 1000's of units and combinations.
Archon--get 350shields
Carrier---can launch interceptors
Colossus--can walk up cliffs and get weapon
Dark Templar--cloaked
High Templar--Psi storm and feed back
Immortal--hardend shields
Mothership--Mass recall, vortex, worm hole transit
Observer--Detector
Phoenix-Gravity Beam
Probe-Build structures and gather minerals
Sentry-Force field, guardian shield, hallucinations
Stalker-get blink
Void Ray-get weapon
Warp Prism (Phasing Mode)-get power source
Warp Prism (Transport Mode)- can transport units
Zealot-get charge
Example of how a unit evolution:
Archon kills immortal so you get an archon with a hardend shield.
Immortal kills probe so you get an immortal that can build structures and gather minerals.
Mothership kills high templar so you get a mothership that can cast psi storm and feed back.
I only have done the protoss units as of current but are going to add terran and zerg in also. If i have enough room left after Terran and Zerg are added in im going to add in SC1 units like corsair, valkryie, devourer... ect. :D
