EDIT: Silly me, I'll leave my post attached but if you use "set unit property" and in the slot with the number use arithmetic it works just as well and probably work smoother.
Iran Put Battle.net on Its Ban List www.gametrailers.com
The Iranian government has put a nationwide ban on Blizzard's Battle.net. Iran's citizens aren't able to play games like Diablo III and World of Warcraft because of a government ban that prevents them from accessing it, according to a post on the MMO-Champion.com forums. The government enacted...

and how would you do this in data? i dont know....
i know you can not do this in the DATA editor so my best guess is for triggers. what i would like to do is modify a units speed based on how much energy they have EG: ghost has 200 energy so it moves at 100% speed. if it has 100energy then it moves at 50%. and so on. if it has 0 speed it can not move. i know there is a trigger to change unit property such as speed. but i dont know how to put the event/conditions. any ideas?
from what i know you can not do this in the DATA editor, it has to be done with triggers. the only way to save anything from one game to another is in a bank file made by triggers as well.
Unit - Set (Last created unit) scale to (100.0%, 100.0%, 100.0%) of its original size
dont know if you change the Scale of the unit it changes the Radius of the unit as well. if you want it to change for every other unit you can make it to something like this:
Unit - Set (Last created unit) scale to ((Random integer between 0 and 100)%, (Random integer between 0 and 100)%, (Random integer between 0 and 100)%) of its original size
the "0" and "100" can be changed to any number you wish.
i think if they took all the Unit data, AI data, and Advanced AI data in the triggers and ADDED it to the AI module it would be 1000% better so you could do it all pretty much from 1 spot. just a thought :D.
i think each unit has a setting like below:
Field Hellion
Combat: Kill Experience 30
my question is: Are these ever used in a melee game or are they only there for hero type units or games?
Is there a way to make it so every unit in the game get experience points with out making them all hero type?
Reason i ask is because i think it would be a cool idea if you could make each unit get stronger the more exp. they have.
Here is the goal: Create a game that can appeal to every type of 'custom game' player.
There are several different types of custom games people play. Alot of people play the same game several times in a day because they are fans of it. I have seen people play the same game up to 50-100 times in a row. I do not want responds as to what games are BAD or about games you dont/will not play..
tell me about the games "you" find awesome and play constantly. about how they are better than the rest and this is why you play the map.
A quote comes to mind "nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it"
@hobbidude:proper question is to ask how do you make replayability in a game successful
@Bommes:Hell, you start it off with an unrealistic goal/because you imply that everybody who published more or less successful maps is doing it wrong and has the wrong "recipe" for their map design. If you want to know what types of maps are successful just look into the most played maps.
I did not ask for ANY of this.. so congrats on talking about something im not even asking..........
i did not make this tread to be an Argument. i made this thread to find out what people like and what games they play.... such as what games do you play on starcraft2? what makes them good in YOUR opinion.
