In SC1 fastest possible map was one of my favorites
i dislike the ones for sc2 because they dont play the same people have added to many features i want regular everything just tons of minerals and gas
i agree, the only thing that should be changed on this map is the mineral location and amount, modifing build times and stuff like that throws the game out of balance. for the most part sc is balanced already.
from what i am gathering you want 3 units to spawn when you click one button for 1 que... right? such as 2 zerglings spawn from 1 egg, but different units. all you need to do is change go to DATA manager and click on the ability tab, go to barracks - train. double click on marine, scroll down to where it says
Field Barracks - Train
Ability: Unit + (Marine)
then click the + button to add units to this. such as ghost/marauder. so it looks like this...
Field Barracks - Train
Ability: Unit + (Marine|Marauder|Ghost)
now when you build a marine these units will be created also.
might want to change it to LT5 energy... reason being if it has energy then it most likey has energy regenerate, so even if the unit does actually hit 0 the regenerate will kick in to make it 1 causeing it problems and not fire. then just to make sure check to see if its interruptable. that could also get it to not fire as well. dont use a percentage use a number that it should be less than or equal to for it to fire.
Ive seen your posts on here and on Battle.net. JakeCake is right in what he said, please listen to people and dont just shut them down. (eg that epic game thread you had going on here) Also, to add my two cents to the topic, I think there already is a fastest possible map on the US server.
jakecake is not even talking on topic so what he said is not right.
Yes there are game already on sc2 that are fastest games, but the problem is that they are all rigged, made poorly or crap. one i played where you got minerals so fast you only need 1 worker and you still got about 10000 minerals a minute, thats crap in my opinion.
There are already hundreds of "fastest map possible" maps on NA. For all number of players, with all the textures and sizes possible, with and without extra units, with blocked air pathing, you name it.
And map makers usually don't like this kind of map, because we like to put some effort on our maps ;-)
I agree, mainly because the FPM out there made so badly its not even worth playing. But what of a FMP that is not a total waiste of time? that requires atleast some stratagy?
This is a thread started in battle.net and it basicly states, should the game "fastest possible map" be made for sc2.
I have had some responces from people and just wanted to get your opinion as well. If there is a good amount of support do this game i can probably have it up and running in about 2 days, not hard to do. The only question is, is it worth it? on SC1 it was a HUGE success. Can also add in SC1 units also in with sc2 units as well. good?bad?ugly? lol.
3. everyone bit adds to vampire army.----- vampires can have a melee attack that latches on to the enemy unit and if the durration is complete it makes the enemy unit a vampire for them
4. humans have tracer rounds to kill vamps.---such as a projectile (marauder) that has can damage vampire units, bullets being unable to hurt them. can also add a vision to the projectile so you can see it fly across the map even.
5. humans have holy water.--- make like a hand gernade that has splash damage can modify the actor to look like water.
12. half human half vampire For the human side.---this can be a veriation from when a human gets bit, if the bit does not last the entire time he becomes half vampire. EG. a vampire attacks a human and bites him, other humans kill the vampire while he was bitting him, the human then turns into half-in-half. hope this helps some, just some thoughts, :D
1. day and night times.
2. vamps are hero's, humans are normal.
3. everyone bit adds to vampire army.
4. humans have tracer rounds to kill vamps.
5. humans have holy water.
6. vamps have cloak ability.
7. humans can build structures vams can not.
8. humans move faster in day time and slower in night time.
9. humans vision is affected by time of day.
10. vampires slowly die in sun light.
11. humans burn if they are next to a vampire on fire from the sunlight.
12. half human half vampire For the human side.
13. vampire get Elder vampire that are stronger than normal vamps.
14. vampire can capture humans to feed juts for food not added into army.
15. humans can swarm/mass attack a point/vampire.
16. certain vampires have special abilities like mind control or morph in to a swarm of bats, ect.
hope this helps some, just some thoughts, :D

LOL @ this--> maybe the soldiers could play sc2 for a touch up on the down time when not on missions or patrol. and the special forces could play diablo3 to touch up on thier team-work/assasination tactics.... haha
see what i need to sorta figure out is how it can target the ground with no unit there to target. probably have to do something like how nukes work, no target needed its just an area.
that is close to what my idea is just not in a business format. an idea for your map would be other players could be customers and if they tip the worker it improves them or if they dont tip it has a negitive affect. and if your going to use a 'food' idea, have it so if the food is cooked good or not. maybe a some food born illness if under cooked, lol.
i know buildings can have energy such as a nexus. i also know building can attack like a photon cannon. but what i would like to do is have a building use energy to make a unit when it gets full. i know how to make it auto cast when the energy is full but how do you get it to make a unit? the cost would be like 200energy and the max amount would be 200 energy. thats easy to figure out. the idea is to have a nexus make a mineral item pick up. any help or suggestions?

@JakeCake26:we cannot tell you how successful it will be right now.
didnt even ask if would be successful, simply asking if people would play it being this thread is under "Map suggestions/Requests"
