posted a message on Adventures of Goku Firebat: CH5 - The Temple

    SUPRISE!

Its another chapter of goku firebat. Thx for all the positive feedback, due to that I give you another chapter.

making these consume more time than I should spend with the editor. Getting few minutes of action takes several days -_-. So I will take a long break again. Maybe there will be CH5 someday...I was also planning on making a game based on this, but well thx to blizzards awesome popularity system it will be impossible to get new maps played, so I guess there wont be goku firebat game coming...

ALSO STAY TUNED FOR CARD WARRIORS! its my custom map on EU, which didnt do so great first when I first released public beta. Anyway ill work on that for now and you can expect it to be on bnet EU someday.

    favourite/thumbs up/comments - its all good!

    • side notes* I suggest watching on HD fullscreen, since I recorded the video with larger area this time so it might look a bit messy if not watched with the max quality.

posted a message on yet another...CARD GAME!

Well the public beta is over. I guess you could say it wasnt as succesfull as expected, but I still got to know many things.

The map obviosly aint ready for bnet. Some people say its really good, but I guess majority of people will give up even before learning how to play this game (I would expect it would take atleast 1 game + 1-5mins to read the help, to learn some of the game). The map was around 4h games played today so it really wasnt a big hit :D.

I will release another beta once I make some adjustments. I will try to balance the game a bit, fix a few bugs and make somehwat new UI so its easier to just start playing. I will also add team mode for next public beta.

so we shall see if this can become as popular as the card game or will it sunk in to the void. For now Ill work with another project and return to card warriors once im done.

thx for all the testers and people who played it!

posted a message on Volatile 1.2 popularity

Now the system is more horrible than ever...before the popular maps would stay on page 1 no matter what, but you could get your map on 2nd or 3rd page fairly easilly. Now it basically impossible to get to 2nd or 3rd page without some serious boostin with friends.

so...I guess we wont be playing any new maps like....EVER.

posted a message on Volatile 1.2 popularity

Im not yet sure how to take the new system. At first it seems bad for me but we shall see...

    Reasons why its bad:

    • lower maps still wont get played without boosting
    • rotating will be slow? and no search function

    Good sides:

    • Atleast maps rotate a bit

I still think there is lot to do...It really sucks that you cant name the maps, but you can still create as many games as you want on bnet with game variants or different publish name, so I wonder how is this removing the same map "problem" that wc3 had.

oh well I will give it some time before giving my final judgement -.-

Gotta say now im impressed. Earlier it didnt look so amazing to me, but now it actually looks like a good game.

Hopefully the gameplay and plot will be good too. Even tought it looks good, doesnt quite make it good yet.

Current features of my card game. You can see some bugs there but they are only visual doesnt affect gameplay at all.

posted a message on Bank Limitations Without Strings?

so far iv stored like 400 ints in banks and seems to work fine. I could convert them to strings, but if it works this way why bother changing it :/. Its not like ints take lots of space.

but correct me if there is some reason why you shouldnt store 400 different values.

posted a message on Pokemon-style game with SC2 Units + Full Banking

Looks good so far. I hope you can make pokemon special attacks visually more appealling, now they are ok, but when you get more skills I would like to see better visuals.

Iv also wanted to do my own pokemon map for a while, but I got too much stuff going on so I never gotten around it + it would be quite hard to do many many pokemons with many skills and levels.

Keep up the good work! :)

oh and forgot to say you should check this youtube video out (if you havent already):

I really like how in the video it displays skills the enemies use and the camera and battle seem a bit cooler than yours. But anyway your UI is fine too, but its always good to think how you could improve stuff :)
