    I think mapnight is the reason why Iv come to almost accept the system. Its enough for me to go to play sc2 once a week...and in the recent mapnights iv seen some great new maps!

    I did actually manage to get like 3 games of testing yesterday too :O...took only like 1h of begging total.

    Ty for feedback. I also feel like the spell power is not quite right yet. I want the feeling of power for the spells but its not quite what Im looking for at the moment. Ill try to improve it and hopefully we can have some fun at next mapnight :)

    Since I was so hars last time...I think I should warn you that copyrighted stuff will most likely get banned from bnet. So atleast the names should be somewhat different from the original charecters and I highly doubt that custom models will be allowed either (of animes).

    So since I got massive amount testers (11) at yesterdays mapnight I would appriciate if you would help me brainstorm and give some feedback. As the map is now I feel like its not unique enough. I have some ideas that I will most likely try but making big changes always have a good chance of backfiring hard.

    My current ideas that Im not sure if im goint to do or not

    • Larger map, more players
    • combat system change: based on energy/power. Spells could have very low cooldown and damage would be based on energy/power. You could cast jump as long as you want to as long as you have enough mana. Perhaps even a skill to re-charge your energy while out of combat...I just really feel like I want to try to make something different from what it is currently.

    Things that will be done:

    • more heroes
    • more items
    • teamcolor/beacon or something (havent quite figured out what would be the best)

    Suggested things:

    • Lower spell power

    Rodrigs threads are getting really old...he should make a blog or something to saticfy his needs of constantly posting this stuff.

    • edit* btw isnt Icjug somekind of melee map with some weird features? I think all melee maps should have their own gategory and no place in the small custom game list (wtf is xel naga caverns doing on page1 or 2 :E)

    Just start doing shit. There are 100000 anime charecters so shouldnt be that hard to get a list.

    Just do them, show them and then you can expect more undestanding for the project.

    Too much stuff to do! I decided to add 2 heroes since I wanted to work on new abilities. They are almost done but need balancing and setting tooltips/sounds etc...

    I also havent had time to fully see what other things was wrong so It would be really nice to get this for tomorrow, but hard to say if Im gona make it to the map night. Few people suggested I should make it 4v4 so I want to test that out as well at some point.

    Yet again. If you played dota, civi wars and footy wars there is nothing to see in these maps. I find these maps discustingly boring. And YES I actually think there are maps I would play if they were on page1, but none of those maps are in page1.

    Excellent post. I also miss some "epic" wc3 moments when people play new maps and have fun. The experience was so vastly different than in sc2 that I just felt like complaining from day1, but now I dont really care about custom maps in sc2. I just check out mapnight every now and then and do my own maps.

    I also kinda miss wc3 scene cause there was plenty of single player RPGs that I played, but in sc2 the community is so horrible I wouldnt bother doing such a thing even though I would like to see those maps too.

    And I do hate blizzard for their shitty ass changes. Now I dont really expect anything from them. But the popularity changes have been a big joke so far (except the volatile system, which made sc2 interesting for me for a while).
