Since my school year is over and I've gotten back into SC2 I'm thinking about re-creating Ultimate Tank Defense, one of the top UMS games when SC2 came out but fell off the face of the map with some silly things happened. If anyone remebers it I'd like to know if you want to see an updated version of the game.
Anywho, I'm also looking a person or 2 to help me out with a few things on the map.
I've gone ahed and started working on this once again, I'm going to keep a log on this thread about the progress of it for anyone interested.
NEW features:
Player Leave/Lane Spawn - Basicly if a player leaves/Playing single player etc stuff will stop spawning from empty lanes. 50% done.
Teir 3 Units - teir 3 units will be VERY strong but very expensive, will be a requirement to beating the map. 100% done.
2 new heros - I've got 2 new heroes planned currently. 150% done. I've made 3 new heroes!
Pro Mode - A Super Hard mode for people who want a new and bigger challange(May have extra waves at the end) 100% done.
Re-vamps:
Hero system being re-done, heroes won't be a choice so to speak, Everyone will get a hero at the start of the game.
Hero Upgrade system re-done - Instead of using minerals to upgrade your hero you will use EXP(Basicly Terrazine) to upgrade your heros damage, attack speed, range, splash damage etc. As such all heroes will be re-tuned and be much weaker and compliment your tanks and other units as opposed to replacing them. I've already completed the new upgrade system for heroes, just need to apply it too all of them now.
As stated above heroes will have more types of upgrades (Currently only Damage/Attack speed) such as range and splash. 100% DONE
Special Tanks such as Missile and Energy tanks will cap at 5 cargo slots, but normal tanks can reach a higher number of Cargo slots via upgrades. 75% done.
Ultimate Tank Defense 1.8 is currently up on B.net(Had to upload it again) if people would like to play it. Any ideas would be great as well, thanks
It's a defense map where enemys spawn from 4 sides and run around a square before converging on the middle to kill your CC, if the CC dies you lose. You have Siege Tanks that act like bunkers and can garrison units, each unit gives the tank a buff or ability, there is also heroes that you can use to defend but they're not garrisonable like regular units. Tanks and units are upgradable.
Back when SC2 released UTD was on the front page for a few months before a broken version was released and we were not able to upload a fixed one and the map fell out of popularity.
