Btw, I gave Photon Cannon's weapon to the Dragoon. Is this the best choice or are there other better models for the missiles?
Besides, when the Immortal used a separate model when it dies, so replacing the core Immortal model to Dragoon would cause a slight vision glitch when it dies. Do you mind updating the Immortal Death model as well?
Ummm, could you animate a bunch of custom models I have? I'll texture them up and so fourth but can you animate them and then export them in the proper format for SC2.
P.S your going to need Half life or some kind of source game and the source plugins for 3ds max to open these.
I only animate formats that I currently have available to import from. Sadly, I will not touch any .mdl file as I know full well that any source model in SC2 will get me in trouble. This goes for all GMod models too.
How hard is it to conform cinematic models to existing in-game animations? Specifically, the Siege Tank/Viking? (The viking needs only be a land unit since I understand the transformation would probably not be doable with the cinematic model.)
But I won't ask for them if they would be too much work/too difficult. :)
Unfortunately I think the lack of global animation support currently would render the gatling guns for the viking defunct, wouldn't it?
Looking at the cinematic tank model, it already has a good siege animation. The only issue I see here is that the ribbons for the wiring wouldn't survive the import, and nor would the particles. Also, no animated textures likely means the treads won't work at all either. Only 16k tri... perfect. :D
I guess I'll wait for these requests until the exporter/importer supports their bells and whistles.
I have a request regarding the Archon, which I think would be relatively simple to do (though I have almost no experience with modeling or texturing) Basically, right now we have two models for the Archon: there's the original Archon with a blue aura and then there's the corrupted "dark" Archon with a green aura. Other than the difference in aura colors, there is no difference in the models.
How difficult would it be for you to take the blue aura of the Archon and recolor it red, ala the Dark Archon from SC1? Not tinting the entire unit red (this is easily accomplished in the editor, but looks silly), but instead replacing all traces of the blue aura with a red one so that the textures of the Archon's actual body are retained. It'd be nice to have a Dark Archon without resorting to the "dark" Archon.
Hey I've got one that I think is more doable then my last request with the flash light :) I need a conveyor belt, ideally taking the flat version of the Mar Sara Conveyor Belt and stripped down to just that animated chunk that I think has a material called 'tank tread', if it could be rotated as well so that its moving on its Y axis instead and ideally the tread moving towards its front that'd be fantastic. I should be able to adjust its scale and animation speeds on my own within the editor but if its not a big deal my intention is to use these in 2x2 squares at a time and if its not too much further trouble having it chopped up/scaled to sit in such a square by default would be spectacular, extra bonus if they look 'okay' at seams if multiple are put in a row.
I found the specific model under Assets/Doodads/MarSaraConveryorBelt_00.m3 in the liberty.sc2mod
Between such model being available and those lovely force effects I'm envisioning sweet opportunities for interactive terrain.
If it aint too much to ask, i just need the grenade pickup model for the campaign except for the orange core recolored to blue and the glowy effect too, if you can.
If you're still taking request, I need a tank without the turret (cannon) in tank form. I dont think it would be easy to retain its transform animation so that's not required. It just need to keep its stand and move animation
Edit: If there's hole in the cannon's place, that's ok, It should have smt attached to it anyway

Is it possible to make the civilians/colonist model hold a rifle and attack? i know this is probably beneath you but i have a rly good idea for a WW2 map where everyone is basically in fatigues. i know theres already a rifle model by itself, im just fail when it comes to modelling.

I would love to have this as a model, maybe it's relatively easy to do by retexturing nova or something (there is a weaponless version of nova here right?).
I Tried to make a colonist with rifle . I connected each marine bone to colonist's bones, but i had a problem with textures. So i tried to put colonist meshes on marine bones , but my old pc can't handle that graphic work :). I failed.

The siege tank has all necessary animations to duplicate the existing low poly one. So what if the treads don't move?
