I actually didn't the stream to get this much attention. I'm working on the communication that we'll release next week to coincide with the PTR launching and I want to make sure I answer as many questions as I can about it.
Please ask away so I can start doing any necessary research.
To respond to what I've seen:
It's correct that most models are the ones from War3 without any changes except the textures are higher resolution. The ones that have updated models are all of the heroes from the 4 primary races and some of the demon models.
Unit and spell sounds are all included.
Scheduled to come out next week.
Again, let me know what other questions you have so my post is as comprehensive as it can be.
Will the units have their spells recreated or is that something we will have to create ourselves? (e.g. Boulder Toss on the Rock Golem)
Does "unit sounds" include their selection/order sounds? (e.g. Arthas' "BETRAYER OF THE LIGHT!" when you order him to attack).
Is this a mod file like Left2Die where we must download and apply it ourselves, or a mod file like the standard StarCraft files? (the list with Swarm Multi, etc)
Any plans to release wc3 terrain textures, music, campaign sound files, environment sounds? any more doodads besides trees? neutral buildings (gold mine)?
...
and before I make a list of every possible thing I'll just stop here :P In case it isn't the entire wc3 data, any chance you would include it in future patches?
I uploaded a mod file that is just for wc3 music a while ago. It's all properly converted and includes playlists for each race, and a playlist of all songs. It's published under "WC3 Music" and I plan to never alter it, so it's basically set in stone if you want to make use of it.
The common models looks bad but HD models of wc3 heroes will be great. Also will be cool if as i mentioned above Blizz will give us opportunity to work with Blizzard Dota assets, since they dont match the high resolution requirements of Heroes of the Storm, they have slightly lower polycount but will be great for RTS. Like this ones:
Also compare these two Thralls below. Certainly the left one has no use in comparsion with right one. But for rts the left one is actualy better i think. Need those!

Yeah, I noticed that too, kind of disappointing. I wonder how many of them are HQ and how many of them are just direct ports.
i dont see those models in my ptr editor, where are they? i haven't used PTR client before can someone guide me?

Wow, awesome! I was hoping for those WC3 hero models being released, but a whole port of WC3 assets is much better. Can't wait! :D

I you look at these models, they are just ugly, why not bring out the Heroes of the Storm models to use in the maps, that would be awesome!
