But Mr. SoulFilcher sir! XenoX isn't demanding donations from people, he's simply open to people donating to him for putting in the time to make his custom map. I understand that this may rub you the wrong way, but I truly feel that the community would benefit from and appreciate your generosity with regard to allowing your beautiful icons and Warhound to be used in the very popular HOTS custom.
Normally I'd totally understand your viewpoint, but with the real HOTS beta coming out soon and the fact that only a very limited number of people will get in means that a huge majority of the community is going to be relying on XenoX's map to test out HOTS. So I ask you to please reconsider and think of how many people would benefit. <3
@Drakey028: Go The Warhound model isn't mine, it was made by GhostNova because I requested it, so he's free to ask GhostNova permission to use the model.
Also many, if not all of my icons can be found here on mapster, those are free to be used people just need to give credit. What else? Should I handle them in a golden plate?
Well, as my maps aren't played and you want the icons and models in Xenox's map its a good idea to just remove my maps and save me my file limit on Bnet. Damn I could have saved precious time as well if I didn't take the time to create the mod, but at least I can use the data in my own projects.
I've remade (recolored or created from scratch) some icons for you and for XenoX. Some icons are from your stuff. Hope you will like it :)
Blind Cloud - strongly distorted and recolored original cloud icon
Viper's Consume (SoulFilcher uses orange, I think it should be more greeny)
Warhound's Haywire Missiles - this is just one of SoulFilcher's icons, that I think fits better to ability than original version
Mothership Stasis - using SoulFilcher's placeholder I did something with protossish effects on it :)

Locust Life Time Upgrade
Spent 30 minutes on creating this icon. Used official swarm host unit model and some lighting like at Armor upgrades. Here are 3 color variants - use what you like more :) But I think orange and probably green are best ones
So Xenox is using the custom models and icons now. You guys make sure he'1s giving proper credit to the authors. He has so many people helping him with the balance changes and bug fixes I can't keep my version updated like that.
If you guys really like the mod, well, you will have to work harder or there will be no reason to keep it on battlenet.
1st off i did not read the other 15PAGES on this thread, LMAO. want i wanted to know is when/if hots comes out will i be able to use the NEW units from HotS on the custom maps i have already made? or do you think the 2 will be seperated? just a thought. :D
Blizzard said you are not allowed to use HotS-stuff on WoL maps. You have to convert your maps to HotS maps. Otherwise your map (and maybe your account) will be banned.
so its basicly a new game rather than an extension of the 1st one? EG: starcraft and starcraft brood wars have 2 different bnets. also do you know if you convert the maps to HotS they will retain any information? i have herd that the conversion on the editor now is worth crap going from sc1 to sc2.
@tdhsst: Go You can't convert from SC1 to SC2 because they use totally different engines. HoTS is the same game but with new assets and some new functionality. The only thing you will need to do in order to "convert" from WoL to HoTS is remove/change a few dependencies.
@OutsiderXE: Go We are not allowed to export assets from HoTS and import them to WoL maps. But since we don't have the HoTS assets, maps like mine will not be banned. I don't use HoTS assets, and simply because those assets aren't avaiable yet.

hxenox have 8 developers on his team,he did a not public custom,so he will not have any icon from us.

NO DON'T DELETE HOTS PUBLIC,IT'S MORE BETTER OF HOTS 2,AND PUBLISH IT ON EUROPEEEEE ...
I also tried your and Xenos version and your is way much better, so you shouldn't delete it untill the beta

the warhound ability have the same icon of the BattleCruiser's Missil Pods (of the campaign)
