Starting 8-2-2011 i will be taking a 3 or more week break from making Marine Protocol. Don't worry I'm not abandoning the project I like working on the game to much for that. ;)
This map was created to start learning about the editor. As time went on I've started developing it into a map. Its available on battle.net and I'm currently working on it. One more unique thing is this map supports 14 players. Although it has not been tested with 14 yet it should work saying triggers dont over load the cpu. In my most recent update, I made a better AI that targets different players equally.
- Balanced higher leveled players with the game
- Increased the amount of monsters that spawn

At release there will only be minimal use for towers
Until Day and Night is added (done) towers will feel useless
Until Random Monster attacks at night are implemented (not done) towers will feel useless

Skill Trees will not be visible to players
At release there will only be one skill tree split
At release towers will only be able to upgrade three times MAX.

Bonus Info
The Tower Defense System we are going to release soon will not be fully functional. It will work as a alpha tower defense system for testing and balancing. Since we currently have no true goal for this game at the moment we are trying to add things that will make it more fun and enjoyable.
We realize that currently the game feels slow and doesn't feel like it has a purpose. We are currently addressing this issue by adding more tower functionality as well as adding monsters that spawn only at night and seek to devour your body. Try to survive! ;)

Awesome glad to hear that! I plan on starting regular testing times soon. When thats set up you will be able to play with a larger group of people. ;D

I started working on added the first boss.
Second Edit
As soon as i finish up the new monster system i'll finish the first boss.
I played this for a few hours by myself. It was fun trying to see how far I could get, but by myself I just can't build fast enough to survive past night 5. My guy is at level 5 so I just now go +1 damage, which doesn't carry me very far. Perhaps more bonus damage per level up. Again, this is just for playing solo, as I can't get anyone to join to play with more people.
Yeah add me as a friend i make test several times a week. Saddly I had to reset levels because of the new leveling system. Right now I'm in the middle of another major glitch fixing and game balancing time. So the game isn't as fun as it should be.
Anyway Thanks for playing the game and happy map making.
