I'm heading to college this year... Stony Brook University to be precise. Computer Science major, hoping to do Computer Programming, specifically Game Programming and maybe a minor in mathematics. Going for a B.S./M.S. combined 5-year accelerated program (hopefully).
What about other college-bound SC2 mappers? I wants to meet more of you guys!
im done with college (biochem major) but have 1 year left on my CPO degree at cal state currently. so glad to almost be done with school.... brigham young, thats in utah right? so that makes you mormon? (not being in utah, but brigham young?) my dad is mormon.... im not sure what i am... haha
University of Montreal ; will teach French in Highshool. Which boggles everyone around me, 'cause I invest most of my free time into learning computer applications instead of reading and writing more. But I have a plan. A secret, wonderful plan that I treasure. And it's all mine.
Also, if anyone ever needs a text translated (EN <-> FR), feel free to ask. I'll be glad to help. =)
Bachelors degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics from Texas A&M. Currently at Texas Tech working on a Masters Degree in Wind Dynamics and Cloud Physics and then a Ph.D in Wind Engineering.
@TheSecretArts:
Hitting upper division this fall or next semester, I'm going for law.
so I can FINALLY, get a Japanese girlfriend.
I like squinty-eyed girls, don't judge lol.
(law = money = girl of choice)
that is my reasoning, as body building is a girl scarer I need
something to get them back.
I may even elist as a JAG in the Navy (Naval attorney) and demand that I be station in Okinawa. Because then
I will not only be in the army, but i'll be tha boss. Or i'll just work in the mid states, and fly to Japan and look
for that squinty-eyed girl of my dreams, english isn't necessary
她缴我日语。
Computer Systems Engineering BEng at the University of Birmingham. Oddly enough I got my qualification last week and now i'm trying to get as much time as i can to develop maps for SC2 but work is really getting in the way.
I go to a local Community College for Electrical Engineering Technology, i rather have hands on experience than learn the theory stuff i can teach myself haha. My school has more tech in our labs than the major universities in the state (NC, so UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, NC State).
My professor also teaches via Game programming, so its fun. How many of you can say you programmed a bipedal Robot to walk!? (Edit: And that was in a C Programming course haha!)
You know, (maybe off topic) all this rage about LAN not being on SC2 made me miss lan parties, this one place
let you play all night for $30, it was owned by some Korean guys who moved back to Seoul.
I love South Korea, I think I will make a thread on that. lol

I taught myself to program a specially-designed roomba-ish robot to move by experimenting with existing code and made it do cool stuff, does that count?
