I have some real simple questions, but I am not used to this spreadsheet of a map editor.
1. How do you use a map selector?
By that I mean game starts and you choose which map you will play. I have seen maps which do this online and in campaign.
Is it all regions of a map being selected? or is there an efficient way to load multiple maps through a single mod.
2. In blizzard maps, how can you change the tileset? every time I preview it reverts to the original tileset but keeps the new
objects and doodads/
Thanks a lot whoever helps, I just want to make a mod which allows you to choose a map when the mod starts and use modified blizzard maps. thanks.
3. What is the trigger method for when a unit dies it turns into another unit?
why does it revert?
I changed the tileset of Blistering Sands and altered it somewhat. the alterations such as doodads stay but the textures revert back to default.
anyone know why?

Posting some ones real name in a forum is just asking for trouble. I'm pretty sure you will be able to find out where some one lives nowadays with just their name. Heck check out this webpage, http://www.123people.com. The reason why people create nick names is to keep their identity anonymous so that freaks on the internet can not stalk them or find out where they live (Yes some people are so stupid on the internet that they can accidentally release important information about themselves OR others). I can see something serious happening from this and i hope that Blizzard changes their mind before they implement this.
If they are planning to cut down on trolling and offensive behaviour then they should do what Aegis posted, which is actively, immedietly, and openly punish those who cause problems. Suspend them from the forum (and display for how long). Also allow people to flag forums or posts so that moderators can respond quicker to offensive behavious.

If someone gets me on their forums lol, I'd sue blizzard in a heartbeat. then spend the money on workout equipment and maybe fund a game that is a user-oriented SC killer.
It would feel no different then suing Acti, i could spend their money to also get a billboard that says "remember when u banned me?" advertising valve's impending Half-Life 3 or something. lol.
@BlueFacedGit:
I got banned for saying American SC2 players are nerds, I am American and I play SC2. Some other guy got banned for simply posting a link to the SC2 trailer commercial.

You don't HAVE to specify your real name, you know.
Make a new b.net account. Enter your real name: 'Donald Duck'.
Problem solved.

Obviously it depends on the units used, but I find that 'micro' in starcraft isn't as much about 'saving units' as it was in Warcraft 3 (simply because a single unit is in almost all cases less valuable than a similar unit was in War3), but more about making good use of your abilities at the right time. Think about it - every unit in the game has some ability that needs to be managed well. From the obvious Psi Storms to the fairly simple Banshee Cloak to knowing when to use Stimpack effectively. If you want to work on your micro, I'd focus on that first and foremost, positioning second, and saving near-dead units third, even if that last one might be more valuable as Protoss.
Start asking yourself "What does this ability do?", follow it up with "What would the effect of using this ability be in this situation" which should automatically lead to "What are the best situations for me to use this ability" and in some cases "and how/where do I use it?".
very wise words, I mean about say in this instance.
I have 8+ hydra, and 2 queen. how can I practice keeping the crux of my zerg army alive without an autocasting regen. just keep rehealing the one taking focus fire? Still issues like this are important, and can raise APM on their own. I have noticed my apm increasing, I also use an ergonomic keyboard which really helps. My razer mouse is a bit low, but I got it for $20 XD so I cant complain.
I have adjusted my sensitivities to optimum, now I just need to practice good habits. I will try that map out btw (to the person that posted it) thanks
@sixen:
Thanks for the heads up, is SC2ALLIN1 hacked?i know its the most popular and has the least problems when loading Ai. Since I found the YABuild tester something map I really dont need it. If it is hacked or changed memory or w/e I will delete and fresh install.

I don't really agree with what he said though... why should they add in all those things to bnet when clearly they wouldn't work under the new system... The interview's tone was a bit overly serious, but maybe in NA we don't understand the lifestyle of starcraft. He should be less harsh on Blizzard... it's not like they aren't trying.
Also, I don't think his opinions have changed much; Just his attitude. I think everyone's attitudes have changed... hopefully when beta comes back up we can all relax and play some good ole *err new* sc2 :D
I completely agree, but JaeDong does have a career at stake, so I suppose his frustration is just. If anyone has seen the success of the franchise on the tournament level he has, and he kind of like the Baha 1000 testing track for Starcraft, he does what AIs can't.
Then again, I do agree, it was overly serious, because it is after all just a game to many consumers. I think Jae is just fearful because when Starcraft 2 overshadows SC1 popularity, he will have to convert to the new feature list, but with his APM and edge, he can.
