I just discovered a massively multiplayer RTS game entitled End of Nations.
I watched an interview which was quite interesting, revealing interesting facts such as:
asymmetrical gameplay (factions) just like SC2
can be played with +/-50 players at the same time!
customization of your units (not only skins but also their abilities and such)
some people in the design team previously worked on the Command & Conquer series
this game is free to play
teamwork is highly encouraged (some objectives rely on your synchronization)
The official website offers to subscribe to the beta version in case you're interested. I just thought it was an interesting game to share, I think I'm not the only fan of RTS games around here who could be interested in playing this game.
I thought this thread was about Romney making it through the Republican nominations.
Anyway, definitely looks interesting. DAT MAP SIZE. That said, even though you named a lot of pros, the map size and player count seems to be their main source of boasting. The rest of the game looks like a completely unoriginal tanks-blast-things RTS. Plus, I'm not seeing bases. Not sure if they're in there or not, but an RTS without base building on this scale effectively means an MMO where you control 10 tanks through RTS view instead of one character with a third person cam.
The guys who made this, aren't they the ones who made Demigod? Demigod was pretty well done, maybe I'll give it a gander. Although, I typically don't like modern RTS because it's mostly running around in humvees and tanks unlike sc2 where you get ground armies that are mostly foot soldiers unless you go mech. But modern rts usually have a mechanic where you can run over human units meaning bio ground are useless.

I don't know if any of you knew Trion before you discovered this, but they're making games of high quality, and I doubt this will be any different.
If this was the soundtrack, I'd buy it. Too bad :/
I thought it was a custom map... Now not as excited ):
@Doubleclick123: Go
Wouldn't be in off-topic then =P
