The girl of my dreams is being dated by my best friend
I'm lonely, depressed, and poor
Being a web designer is hard. I'm a novice one, and a decent one at best. I wish I could find a client who I could make a website for. I'm good with HTML 1.0 Transitional, and CSS, and PHP. I'm okay with JavaScript, and MySQL. It's a pain. Without experience, I'm going to lose whatever edge I have. Great, just great. I need money desperately to survive. *sigh* Help? Comfort? Anything?
Edit: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND COMFORT. I got over the girl. I still don't have a job, but life feels better. Thank you all. :)
You really don't understand the girl situation. >.> You really don't.
Anyway, a REAL job? Web design is a real job. :P I think what you meant is a job I can do better than web design, right? :P
Well, I have tried that, but everything seems taken. D: I'm forced to freelance because all the other jobs I'm either not qualified for, or have been taken. Not fun.
For the web design part - Have tried going around to local companies and showing them a portfolio or anything like that?
I haven't really ever done web design, nor do I know how to find clients for it, but I am sure there would be some businesses with lacking websites or other things that would need updating. And if you click with someone in the company they may want more of it.
As far as the girl goes, that just flat out sucks and I'm sorry to hear that. If you can get the web design going or something else along those lines that would help take your mind off it (hopefully). Have you also looked at internships maybe? I don't know if you in school or not or anything, but thats an option too.
I haven't tried looking around for local businesses. Are they in the yellow pages? And yes, I do go to School, just not during the summer. Only Fall and Winter. But I could look into internships, too. I'll ask some old professors of mine for my web design classes.
Definitely do that. Your school may also offer programs or a list of internships you could apply for. That would help you get more experience and make you more appealing to employers.
I'm sure you could look in the yellow pages, but I just meant literally go to local businesses you think you may want to work for and talk to a manager or someone there to see if they are interested. Going to major chains probably wouldn't work as they may already have established webpages that they may not want to change.
I hope that helped some.

Ive seen it before with my friend. And just keep applying to local jobs they may not reply the first second third twentieth time but if you keep trying you will find one. Also having a hook up like friends family anyone thats in a job that your applying for helps GREATLY.
And the girl situation ive been through at all x.x really ive liked plenty of girls in my life time and now ive been with my girlfriend for a year, really I mean I know it's hard but you will get by and find somebody.
and I totally agree with optimism 100% its the greatest thing ever invented ever :P
This feeling should boost you to work even harder. Just imagine how relieved and happy you will feel after overcoming this challenge and the experience you gain. Just strive for it. There's no way of turning back anyways. That's all I can say to help you.
i feel for you man, i had girl trouble recently, then i found out i could move on O.o found someone else and im extremely happy!!! as for you clients...idk what to do about that, sometimes you just gatta wait through the bad luck. and as for being depressed, i can be your friend if you like! i love making new friends =3
Ok, go up to your best friend and repeat after me. Say this. . .
"F*ck you." Then walk away man, just walk away. Then take the girl right from under him. . .
Jk, don't try that. That is a stupid idea.
Anyway, yeah. . . Just feel more optimistic when you wake up. Listen to cheery part music or something? Then just go out and work kinda like a Car Salesmen to get clients. That's the cheeriest way I can say it, lol.

There, are so many girls out there. There are 3.5 billion people out there. As for the money, work is hard if you need a job just continue to look. I went to a party 3 days ago, and we were discussing about summer jobs before going back to school out of 15 people there only 3 of them have dead end jobs with really shitty work schedule's. I guess I can't complain because they are working unlike the rest of us. But it starts with reinventing yourself before life turns around. Heck, i'm doing lawn care for neighbors. A girl working lawn care? Ha ha, i'm not a normal girl either but still I would rather be doing camp counselor or something of the sort with people. My father told me good advice, when reject don't take it personal. Just think that they have different interests then you. And when they have different interests you just move on, and smile because you never know what will happen when you take your first jump. Good luck Romeo. :P P.s. You sound young, when we are young we think the world is going to end, when we become older, we realize we've been here for a long time.

this will help.
Also, ur skills can lead to other stuff. Its never too late to learn something else though, learn busniness management, that plus HTML could get u a management position at a place that does websites, or become a fire fighter or an EMT or something that pays better and is consistent,
or learn to fight and join MMA.
Lots of choices out there, and the supply of females is endless because as far as biology goes its WAY easier to make a girl than a boy. What I heard, if I am not mistaken, is that temperature has effect (not as much as it does for reptiles, but still an effect), and global warming has been occurring.
You don't need a girl anyway, you have us at Mapster, :D Group hug
*commence gay flame ......... now*
Ooh and this is for the next tiem you get dumped
(which hopefully is never)

Besides, u shouldn't date American girls anyways, you can't trust them. The media here glorifies excessive emotion and excessive reactions, so it is part of the culture to do things that are in general adverse. Other countries have better systems, and this isn't the same for all girls, but better safe than sorry. I'm holding out on a squinty eyed girl from one of the East countries, 我很想中文人 OR 日本人怒朋友。
If I wrote anything other than Nu (as in female) I apologize my pinyin and hanzi still needs perfecting XD, I have made mistakes before.
Let me list off the things that suck in my life:
Being a web designer is hard. I'm a novice one, and a decent one at best. I wish I could find a client who I could make a website for. I'm good with HTML 1.0 Transitional, and CSS, and PHP. But in all seriousness... Cheer up. Things will get better. It's only a fraction of a bump in the road.
Well... I was just browsing around the web and I found an image that might cheer you up. So here it is. I present Pengwolf.
Oh man. I get ya bro.
A girl, you like and love is being dated by a good friend. Been there. After such a thing I was miserable. BUT, I recovered.
Can't say the same about your job, but i feel ya dude.
You didn't say this, but.... Don't even start "suicidal thoughts"...
I'm as serious as a chicken crossing a road.
