Okay so just to learn im making a tornado spell :D
Now i already have it where it pull in anything nearby :D but now I need to make it where the tornado starts spinning them :P
But I never liked Applyforce and it doesnt like me D:
So here is the effect im going for!
Now I have the tornado pull the target in and once it is inside the tornado the target gets a buff with this persistent below as the initial effect :DDDD
and to achieve this I made a persistent with offsets (only 4 offsets just for the test tho :D)
and then I used apply force in an attempt to send it towards the points :D
With what I have right now the zergling just does like a patrol and goes back and fourth between 2 points when it should be going between 4 of them. It has to be the target value or offset target values but ive tried soo much >.<
Alright I have a shotgun that fires 3 missiles that collide into units and die on impact dealing damage. Now that works all fine and dandy
but I have a buff that the unit can get that allows for the bullets to pierce the target now when it comes to this the bullet will hit anything it goes through multiple times. Now I know I need a marker of some sort because a behavior would ruin it. But the problem is that I dont know where to put this marker because normally you have a persistent lasting the entire time to mark and hold the markers.
So my question is where do I put the marker and how would I go about it? Cuz im lost and nothing is working
So here is the process my bullets go through from weapon to target
The shotgun calls the Persistent
The persistent launches 3 missiles all with different offsets
On launch applies calls the search effect
Searches for new missiles to apply missile behaviors
Applies the behavior to the new found missile
Checks collisions for the missile
Used for offseting collisions and for backup checking if missile it fast (only doing one right now since its stacking damage with pierce)
This effect checks for if the caster/shooter has a pierce buff if it does it calls the damage effect if it doesnt it kills itself and on death does damage.

Ugh has anyone figured a way using markers to make a missile only hit a target once when traveling through it? I do a 3 time check just to make sure my bullets doesnt go through the target it, and it hits everytime plus more. ive been toying with it forever and markers arent doing it for me.
It is Infernal Ignite USES NO TRIGGERS ALL DATA EDITOR
The spell launches 2 missiles igniting the target and doing damage then the target goes into a fire craze trying to escape it all while taking damage over time. If the target goes by another target it becomes ignited too.

Id like to note x.x Dont use the beta map editor haha xD It does have missing things such as my chain fence and home models haha

Has anyone figured a way to make it so a bullet will only hit the target once when traveling through it without using buffs.

If you notice the radius bonus in the search area effect
I believe how it works is if you use a persistent and keep calling the search, radius increases by that amount ;D
