Temperatures on its surface probably exceed 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, raising the possibility that some of it is molten, covered in lava. Any atmosphere would have boiled away long ago, said the researchers.
So that means the zerg have probably already mobilized. I wouldn't worry about them coming here though, we don't have any real psionic potential. Just movies/games about it potential.
Nothings gonna happen. I mean, they would've seen the overlords right away right?
They haven't actually seen the planet yet - All they saw was a tiny dot on the sun that kept moving across it which made it kinda obvious it was a tiny planet. Calculating certain stuff about it probably wasn't that hard, but they still have to take an actual picture of it (Which I think is gonna be pretty hard considering it is REALLY far away and really close to a sun)
Also, it's 33 light years away... which means even if we could get pics of the planet, we wouldn't know that the zerg mobilized until 33 years later (By which time I assume they've alreaden eaten us.)
No joke.

@Creation25: Go
lol wow, it looks just like it... hopefully theres no insectoid species living on it.
Interesting...
And yes, let's hope there is no insectoid species on there. I don't think we have enough siege tanks yet.
That's pretty awesome but we are not even close to ready to take on the swarm.
Cool. But we need more Battle Cruisers if there is any sign of insectoid life on that planet.
I propose we contact the scientific community and convince them to baptize the planet "Char".
@AlexO6: Go
If you find a way to contact them, I'm all for it!

We're doomed O.o
There's just chagelings on my home,we are dead,imba zerg D:
I heard Terra has an insectoid problem... warp 'n' purify! Like in the classic movies, Mars aliens comes to terminate Earth population, lols
Roaches.
Stop poking me invisible flyer!
LOL is identical!!!!! Maybe soon the scientist discover Aiur XD

It looks like a burnt cheese puff.

that would be awesome xD

Little do we know that dot wasn't the planet. It was the overlord.
Edit:
What about THIS then?!
Well if it's 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and Zerg live there, then they're adapted to the heat. No Firebats are gonna work ;-(
The StarCraft Wiki description of Char is nearly identical to this planet. (Actually goes into more detail.)
What I found very funny is it states, "and with temperatures in excess of 800 centigrade (1470 °F)." That's very prophetic of Blizzard. ^_^
