Hmm, playing your new version; getting spectators is quite difficult; very difficult. It would seem as though simply going for banked income would work still though; but spamming towers for visitors is done for.
Most recent bugs:
Figured out why frequently, the brood lord doesnt path. Some of his minions bunch up in anyones lane at the start; and block themselves. this causes the event to not fire. Just check their pathing and add in an anti-stick to that part of the quest.
About level 30ish, monsters stopped spawning; but everything else has continued. I was on a roll too :( Had 17,000 banked by level 30; I could'a had it all.
Hey! I already sent you an e-mail, but I hit the 1M and broke the game giving me a negative score D: I had about 1.3 in tower assets, but for some reason they only counted the .3, and it was a negative .3 counting against my score! I've sent you the replay, but I figured I may as well post on here too!
I had 27k spectators max, and was getting 150-170k per round for the last few rounds. I also didn't leak whatsoever in that game, so that couldn't have caused a negative score.

I also am having this problem right now. I'm going to let the map play out, and then send in the replay in for him to look at!
Edit: It appears that the monsters start spawning again at level 40, the zombie invasion round.
"Yep; I just checked it out again, it is the banshees level.. terrible that I sat there for an hour to test if it was a reoccuring bug. "
Sorry man, I appreciate your dedication to that bug. That was something that slipped in last night while I was doing a bug fix marathon way too late. The bug was in for a few hours in the middle of the night (EST) but was fixed very early this morning.
I also backed off a little on the throttling for using low level towers late in the game. Spectators should be a little easier now. As a warning, all Tier I towers will start to bring in less spectators after day 26, and bring in almost nothing by day 36. Tiers II and III are also throttled a little, but later in the game. These changes should have a minimal effect against people who are playing the game naturally and regularly upgrading towers, but a huge impact on the strategies that involve tons and tons of low level towers.

Now when you say low level towers do you mean base towers of any type? *level 1 burnout being base even though its a "Ultimate" variation?* or simply missle turrets and spitfires in general? With the 70% sale return on those towers I think maybe the max upgraded version of those towers could give their full amount. My strat of doing all the tiny towers mid game like I did *mostly to weaken units for my back towers that I wanted to kill at the point* vs building 1 full one at a time is probably want you intend to stop right?

He means the base towers of any type, regardless if it's a first tier (ex. homing turret), Second tier (ex. Crossfire Turret), or Third/ Ultimate (ex. Burnout Tower) Essentially the strategy that we used to break the game and get ridiculous amounts of spectators and money won't work anymore. And if I understand you correctly, you're suggesting that the level 5 towers sell for 100%? I don't think it he would do that, because then it would allow you to swap around a towers' placement and type allowing it to be easy to get the %16+ bonus spectators for each tower type. Also it would pretty much make the special construction upgrade (gives %100 sale price and instant build times) completely pointless.
That's just my two cents on the subject tho, haha.

Nope thats my terrible skills to convey my thoughts lol, That section was refering to how I belive the max towers of any tier should give full crowd appeal regardless of if it was a spitfire or missle turret not that they should sell for 100%. Ex. Say I built alot of missles at the start, got them to a good point but then found they had far less crowd appeal then say a burnout tower, if I had some high level missle towers but wanted spectators I would've had to sell those and try to start over on the burnout tower. However if what you say its true and its base of any tier of tower then the scenario is null and void. I had tried to make the connection between crowd appeal and the max level towers but when I threw in the fact you only get a 70% return *hence my reasoning that max missle tower should still give its full appeal and only its base towers should be gimpped* again i'm bad at actually putting those thought into writing.

Ohhh, I see what you mean now, haha. I know that the crowd appeal scales with the cost of the tower, (ex. An advanced spitfire for 100 will give only about half of the painter tower, for 200). According to the tooltip on the SCV spectators are equal to crowd appeal, but I do not believe that is accurate after this last update. I'm not sure if the level 5 spitfire actually has a reduced appeal to spectator ratio, I've only seen him mention the level 1-3 towers being throttled down, so I don't believe that would change the spitfire/homing tower appeal. Oh I also am assuming you're talking about the Advanced Spitfire/ Homing Tower.
It would be nice to have either the % a tower was throttled down, or to have tower appeal "Subtracted" from a tower so we can actually see the change in the appeal (Same look as if you were to get an armor debuff in a normal game). I tend to by very analytical about my strategies, so if we were given the value this would help with strategizing.
Let me help clear this up. There are Tier 0 through Tier 5 towers, but only spitfire/homing have a Tier 0.
Spitfire Turret I (Tier 0)
Spitfire Turret II (Tier 0)
Spitfire Turret III (Tier 0)
Spitfire Turret IV (Tier 0)
Advanced Spitfire Turret I (Tier 1)
Advanced Spitfire Turret II (Tier 2)
Advanced Spitfire Turret III (Tier 3)
Advanced Spitfire Turret IV (Tier 4)
Advanced Spitfire Turret V (Tier 5)
Towers that are low level don't give the full spectator amounts later in the game.
Tier 0 towers begin to throttle spectators by day 16 and worth almost nothing by day 26. Tier 1 starts throttling at day 26 and worth almost nothing by day 36. Tier 2 starts throttling at day 36 and worth almost nothing by day 46. Tier 3 starts throttling at day 46. Tiers 4 and 5 never throttle and are always worth 100% crowd appeal.
I did this because the Tier 0 towers in particular are very efficient for cost vs. crowd appeal, but if you think of it as a simulation of a park, spectators wouldn't care as much about those weak towers once there are BIGGER AND COOLER towers to see. It's like that ride in the amusement park (the Scrambler) that just spins in circles and no one cares about it anymore. People can still enjoy it, but no one is going to the park for that ride.
Before this change, people were able to make dozens and dozens of the cheapest towers late in the game and pull in a ridiculous amount of spectators. It's like going to an amusement park that has only Scrambler rides. NO THANK YOU.
yup I was refering to adv spitfire and missle when I stated that, once I unlocked adv I never built the originals save for the point in my strat to use weak spitfires to make sure they die to my missles in back *as I was favoring building rushing with the missle kill bonus* honestly now that I think about it I couldve just done what you did and spam level 1 towers everywhere for spectator rush and minerals wouldn't have mattered but again I never really though about that lol only point that I spammed adv spitfires was the point I wanted them to start taking the kills for their impressive kill bonus *I also had the perk for $.01 to admission from impressive kills* and I upgraded them all as I went (all getting 300, then 900, ect.) I had maybe $18-$19 admission but only 5500 spectators as opposed to your $5.00 admission with 27,000 spectators *I'd like to pretend you had that many because admission was cheap* lol in sheer point total your strategy smashed mine into the dust, even if you did go negative.
Now a matter on endings, how do you obtain or what are the different endings? everytime I play its the same story regardless of score, I havn't done it without leaks on bankruptcy yet but thats because i'm pushing my usual starting strat which has the potential to leak with bad rocket splashes. Guess what i'm trying to to ask it what are the requirements to see one of these alternate endings?
Well I guess I found a second ending, I think. Haha. If you die after/on round 48, the millionarie dude that wants to buy the park won't show up, because the park became bankrupt and is destroyed or something like that. And of course there is the successful completion as well. Not sure what the other 2 would be.
Dunno if I got it in time but I got 1.2mil. Sent in the replay 2 hours ago so *crosses fingers* :).
Found crossfire to have the best appeal/cost ratio so I spammed those along with spitfire to pump spectators and admissions. Was kind of surprised I broke 1mil. I played overkill/random and got the popularity for 1st upgrade and thought I was just done for -_-. Got the +spectacular% for last upgrade which helped a lot w/ my crossfires but not sure how optimal it is compared to the others. They all seem quite good.
I'll be checking replays in my inbox tomorrow. Second place prize is still open!
And you're right, the standard issue towers would kill the inspector. I never even tested those towers killing the inspector on the hardest difficulty (his life scales on difficulty, even though he dies in one hit). But even if those towers didn't kill him, he'd leak and you'd get the same dialog as if you intentionally murdered him. If you know how to break the game to that extent (probably impossible) then you probably also know the story!
Perhaps. He has about 264(?) hit points and the towers only do 4 damage each. 8 DPS for 5-10 seconds? He might die, but it seems unlikely.
well those towers also increase *from what I can tell* 3 times, I would think its 4 each, to 8, to 12 allowing time for it to build, it at most would get to 8 dps each for 3-4 seconds... if he didn't die one hit lol and where do people see his hitpoints being higher then 36? on bankruptcy thats what they are anyway

@Zeroatu:
Yep; I just checked it out again, it is the banshees level.. terrible that I sat there for an hour to test if it was a reoccuring bug.
But wow, 27K observers in normal mode. insane.

CONTEST UPDATE!
We have a winner, congratulations to Andrenden for being the first to reach $1,000,000!
We also have a runner up, congratulations to Zeroatu who was the second to reach $1,000,000, but sent me the replay ten hours later than Andrenden.
I'll be back tonight to work on prizes.

Out of curiosity, what happens if you sell all of your towers right before the inspector walks into your maze?
Havent tried it but I would have to guess end 2 "standard issue" towers would kill him

well phooey. Just tried selling everything. Which led me to a bug I'm surprised I hadn't found before. You can't sell your crossfire towers. -_-
Good thing I came here to post that so I could read Skrow's response and thus avoid wasting my time redoing this.

This map is cool. My only problem with it is that the hotkey for normal and advanced seeker and spitfire turrets are the same.
