That said, I'm running Chrome without addblock and I'm not getting anything.
ditto.
look out. it's the use what i use or you're a noob crowd !
Nah, but I just speak from experience. I used Internet Explorer until I figured out how badly it sucked, then I used Firefox for a good amount of years. Problem is it kept crashing and showing bugs. And this wasn't just my PC - reinstalling didn't help and I had it on other PCs as well. I switched to Chrome, got some additional features (restoration after any possible crash for example) and the crashes pretty much stopped.
How do you crash firefox? You got to be trying hard to crash firefox? I've been doing so much before in firefox with a lot of add ons and other things going on all at once and never crashed.
im using internet explorer with no adblocker (none that i'm aware of anyway) and i don't see any ads well apart from the one at the top of the page but i scroll down quickly anyway so..
I use chrome instead of firefox because it's less performace heavy (well, neither is too performance consuming compared to other stuff I use...), which comes in handy when you've got a game running in windowed mode behind it... Could barely do anything in firefox with sc2 open >.>
Firefox is still pretty good though :)
At the moment Firefox is even on the JavaScript performance, however, lacks a bit in the UI responsiveness department. It should be solved once Mozilla is done putting each tabs and UI on their own process. It shoulde done in approx 4-5 months.
I prefer chrome because it's simple, compact, less bugs and seems faster. Although FF is also good.
You can easily edit the UI to be as simple as, if not more than, Chrome. If you clean your Firefox profile things should perform significantly better, that is if your Firefox hasn't been cleaned over years of usage.
Just upload an asset or something. That way you contribute to the community AND no longer see ads. Win win! Those ads are nasty, though. Before I became an 'author', I would get a damn World of Warcraft Video loading on every page.

Believe me, I wasn't trying. Which is my entire point. Firefox started to just crash on me with one or two pages open for no reason. Like I said; reinstalls and trying on different PC's didn't help. There's a reason I went with Chrome.

It´s the same for me, but I´m using FF (without adblocker as well)
im using safari and ive not seen much: if the sounnds annoying you take 30 sec to press the mute button , scroll down , mute the ad then un mute your PC
im fine with firefox. i got Adblock Plus and fanboy package i think it is. no problems really except when websites bring out new ads then you gotta manually block it yourself or update fanboy package.
only thing im finding weird that firefox didnt always have, is that its got a plugin-container.exe it runs at same time, and either firefox or plugin container can get pretty high sometimes

Anyhow, expect great things for Firefox 6.

@Mozared: Go Same thing happens with one of my friends. He wants to use ff but it keeps crashes for some odd reason. So now he's using chrome.
