It doesn't play for everyone, I use Internet Explorer and it plays for me every time and yes its kind of annoying, eats up my limited bandwidth 8(. A friend of mine told me I should download and use firefox instead and get a adsmasher addon or something like that I have to ask him again tonight before I download it but apparently that will stop those things cold.
Thanks you guys, I will check those out asap as this is of course not the only web-site I have this issue with so it would make sense to seek out means of removing it on my end ;-)

Somebody just said you have to an author, moderator, or premium member to not get the adds. I'm not totally sure about that one.... I have google chrome and (obviously) I'm a moderator. When I load this page with add block turned off, I get one advertisement bar at the top of the page (no sound effects come out)
Why not try add block?

There are no popup ads on the site, if there are, let me know and i'll make sure they are deleted. There are, however, ads that pop out when hovered over. Just don't hover over it.
Are you serious... I cant even visit sc2mapster without my speakers getting blasted about some Toshiba laptop ad.
Then you have to scroll down to find the fucking ad to stop it.

You should get Chrome, not Firefox, but... yeah.
That said, I'm running Chrome without addblock and I'm not getting anything.
