It's kinda Ironic, because If I'm right Blizz said this on the back of the SC2 game box "Blizzard Entertainment presents the future of online social gaming", and it's only taken about a month for someone to figure out how to bypass there "future gaming" network system :P. But hey, at least they gave us 10 map slots/50mb :D.... after us begging. Maybe someday we'll get a better system, Battle.net 3.0 anyone?
That exact "tutorial" everyone is spamming on the Blizz forums originated here. I've seen it but I can't find it anymore. Perhaps one of the mods deleted it, as it used to be in the tutorial section
I find it ironic that everyone hates the popularity system from day 1, and its now been a month, only 1 thing has been done. Maybe now Blizzard will kick fixing that into high gear with the mass spam on their forums. I don't expect this to be fixed until chat rooms come. Knowing Blizzard that's probably going to be December or the summer of next year (maximum).
remember, its not just a matter of "oh lets change it" rewriting of the scripts, possibly changing the UI, the database may need some work, lets not forget each Client type, testing, quality testing, Im sure they are working hard..

True, but they should have been working on it in Beta, when everyone agreed that the system sucked. It's been about 4 months (I might be wrong) and they haven't really fixed it.
SC2 should not have been released in its current state.
All of em are getting banned. Im serious. I wish it was not true, but the ban hammer will come down. Its a violation of blizzards rules to re post and they have been banning left and right. But Im glad to see some people share thire opinions about this..
Lol I bet the moderator who deleted the post is gunna be in troubble lol

Fellius is right. During that ENTIRE beta, they did not even ATTEMPT to do anything. Well guess what? Thats what the beta is for!!! And now they will have a LOT more trouble cuz people wont put up with glitches that come from changing things now they they payed 60 something bucks for the game.
Battle net 3.0 will have no chat features, custom games, or matchmaking. Battle net 3.0 will be for WOW cuz it makes blizz tons of $$. lol....Im kinda scared about battle net 3 lol...Im wanting to buy diablo 3 but its gunna have battle net 2...does diablo have a map editor?
First: why shouldnt he game have been released? we are PLAYING.... if it was held for a fix, we still wouldnt be playing right now... see what I mean? I rather be able to play while its being fixed =D ...never understood that statement.
Also.. though I think it would have been nice for them to fix this durnin beta, the goal of beta was to get a balanced and "working" game... which is more important than an system that works... but.. is just a super big pain.
thats not what beta is for, is there to make the game itself work, and be balanced, which is what they did. for all we know they DID start working on the fix... and they still are, we just dont know.
as I said... lets see, we can pay $60 and play a game, (yes some glitches) and wait 2 months to get them FIxed ORR go two months WITHOUT A GAME, while they fix glitces THEN send it and we pay $60? I rather play while they fix.
I know its not, I'm just saying they have only done 1 thing about fixing this problem. Only 1 and it didn't work very well. I wasn't expecting them to fix this within a month, I just expected they would have done a little more.
Anyways ether way, it will still take months to fix or finally get it to make it up their priority list before they even think about fixing this.
Maybe it was one of Activision's things. Maybe they told them not spend time to fix it as it would be a waste of time and just let it slide. I don't know, Blizzard just hasn't been doing a great job ever since Activision stepped in.
I totally agree Id rather play the game. But during the beta, people will tolerate glitches. Many people (not really me) will not appreciate it if blizzard makes some glitches

yeah.. I just dont think most people sit back and think... whenever someone is all QQ about a game with glitches, and saying "Dont release it" I always say that exact same thing [Wait and get it fixed, or play sooner while it gets fixed] usually they all say "oh... didn't think of that". I mean yeah A glichless game would be great, but that means more time out of the hands of the players, and when that happens, everyone loses.

It's much easier to fix a glitch before the game is released. When a game is released, they post screenshots everywhere on papers and internet. So, it's hard to change something that it's done. However, if we had waited for them to fix before releasing the game, the fix would have come a way faster. I bet that if the game was release today, all the problems would have been fixed already. But no, I bet we will still wait for more at least 5 months to see some changes.
the only part of that, that was true was "It's much easier to fix a glitch before the game is released" After that, not true at all as it would not speed it up by any great deal. It still requires the exact same changes, the only trick now is, the sending of the patch.
End point: im still having fun. if they held it back, I wouldn't be.

never saw that exact one here, and i dont think any mods would have deleted such
The next patch is already being tested, and it will not fix the popularity system nor add chatrooms.
Someone should copy that tutorial and post it here before Blizzard delete all the 50 threads about it.
I will tell you guys, repost this link
