Well since I prefer Mumble over Ventrilo I decided to make my own server so people can experience a true VOIP solution. You can get Mumble for Windows/Max OS X at the following website http://mumble.sourceforge.net/ . It is a rather simple installation and setting it up is just as easy, you just need to make sure you create a certification.
The Server information is as follows...
Server: nighthawkhosting.org
Port: 64738
Yes, this server is on a dedicated server that is up 99.99% of the time and isn't shared with any other VOIP Servers. There are a lot of features to Mumble that make the quality so much better then Ventrilo, only to name a few right here...
1) Low Latency! Ventrilo & Teamspeak have a delay between when you talk and when others hear you of about 1-3 seconds, meaning you can start talking when others do without noticing. Mumble has such a low latency it is almost instantaneous.
2) Better Quality, it uses some features of the codecs that Ventrilo & Teamspeak don't use such as background noise cancellation, removing out of hearing frequencies, along with normalization so that no one is loud enough to be unpleasant.
3) Lower Bandwidth, it uses up less bandwidth since it does compression of the audio allowing for more users to be connected and talking at the same time. You can easily have 300-500 people on a Mumble Server with out a single problem.
Also as a bonus I am going to be adding 2 features that will make Mumble stand out further, integrating with SC2Mapster to allow people to use the same username/password on SC2Mapster thus insuring that everyone on the server is either registered or a guest(limited features). Along with notifications of new private messages. If we get thread subscriptions I will be adding that.
PS: There are applications for Android along with the IPhone that are being developed and have working releases.
I'm sorry but I think at this point you are trying to hard. Thats just my opinion. Im not trying to be a bitch but really... I think I am becoming ill. Although it is free and you are entitled to help the community any way you can. I don't have to use it at all and I can just avoid this topic completely - It seems as you have made an effort to "out do" Me ? I don't know.... Does anyone else have an opinion on this.. Before posting read these few statements below.

Ventrilo sucks and Teamspeak is alright, But you managed to leave out the best software called Mumble. Mumble is open source and you can set up your own servers for free with no restrictions, plus Mumble is updated more often and can be linked with the forums so that there is no registration needed. Plus I think supporting Mumble for something like this falls more into SC2Mapster's ideology.
What I am saying is that setting up a Mumble server would of cost a lot less then renting a Ventrilo server plus it allows for better quality and uses up less bandwidth. Also a vote of 37 people doesn't represent the community at all, this isn't a decision that can be decided in a matter of a day or so by 37 people and expect it to represent everyone. To more accurately represent the community it should of been done along the line of how the contests are done.
I am just trying to say that I feel this wasn't chosen by the community itself and by a few people that just happened to be on at the time.
I just wanted to add an additional 2 ยข to this.

Low Latency!
We have low latency as well, I hear we have 130 Ping from EU on our USA Server. But latency doesnt come from just distance, It is effected by software running on your computer and your hardware limits.
Like I said, I didnt want to come across as bitchy it just seems rude to "out do" some one that makes a kind gesture for a community. He joined in May plenty time before I joined the community.. Why didn't he put his plan in effect any time before this?
Understandable though, The community may chose to use mumble or ventrilo it is their decision.
Sixen told me personally that there is no official VOIP, he just added the Ventrilo information to the IRC Sticky because you pmed him asking for it. He also told me he would add my server information also if I posted a thread. As for low latency if you check out the youtube video I posted you will see the difference.
PS: The company you got Ventrilo set up through is notorious for using the Ventrilo's ability to have multiple server programs on a single server computer. You get a dedicated process not a whole server.
I own the dedicated server hosting my ventrilo. I own the whole server. <3
However I did do the same test running 2 Ventrilo at the same time, The latency your talking about is there but it is no where near 2-3 seconds. Its about .5 for me. It depends a bit on ISP of that user.
I'll put in my voice here and start off by saying:
Thank you both Th3LaughingMan and iMisu for providing mapster with these services.
However, I do not want this to turn out into an all-out war between who's got the most popular Voice-Chat program and end up making you two despise each-other.
And so, it is not necessary to start trash-talking about what software is better and try to "out-do" anyone (No, I am not pointing any fingers)
Everyone in this community have different tastes and preferences, and just like so, there are some people who prefer Ventrilo over Mumble, and those who prefer Mumble over Ventrilo. Isn't it good if those who like Ventrilo can use the server provided by iMisu? And isn't it also good that those who do not like Ventrilo but still would like to chat with their voice, can use LaughingMan's Mumble server?
In the end, it is all about bringing the community together and making it easy, fun and convenient to help each-other with their difficulties and have a nice chat while you're at it.
Sure it would be convenient to have all voice-chatters on the same place. But that is unlikely when reading things like this.
Let's see about this...the only dedicated server that GameServers use are there "Dedicated Game Servers" which they clearly state on the website...
"Ventrilo - licenses are not for sale by their respective developers and cannot be hosted on dedicated boxes."
Due to Ventrilo licensing they have to buy a license per computer server, meaning they are using Ventrilo's ability to run multiple processes thus fooling people into thinking there getting a dedicated server. The only way to host Ventrilo on a dedicated server is to purchase your own license which you can only do by filling out the application where you need to meet these three requirements...
1) You must have a legitimate business license in your state, country or jurisdiction. Please be prepared to provide proof when requested.
2) You agree to a 1000 slot minimum. Slot counts greater then 1000 are billed at the per slot rate for the total number of slots hosted. Slot counts below 1000 are billed at the per slot rate with the required minimum of 1000 slots.
3) Licensee's slot counts are expected to grow on a regular basis.
Hokay, quit the arguing please. If someone wants to use Mumble, let them. If someone wants to use Vent, let them. Nothing's official at this point, they've both only been a thought in my head for a few days at most.
Clearly, most people will already have Vent, so that will be their choice, which is what I told TLM. But I also told him he can go ahead and make his own server if he wanted to. It doesn't hurt us any to have more than one option in this regard.
Clearly the "official" VOIP will be chosen over time, just depending on whatever more people want to use. But even so, the choice will still be there if people want it. Like I said, it can't hurt. And we have such a big community, there's too many people to force one way or the other.
Sixen, you're the only other person I know who has their own registered domain as their online name. Mine is a .com though. www.suterusu.com (currently the main page goes no where, multiple sub domains however do.)

Many users who have tried out mumble prefer it over Ventrilo or Teamspeak... (GUI has changed since then) (Latency test for Mumble, Teamspeak, Ventrilo) http://mmo-mumble.com/help/ComparisonChart http://www.wow.com/2010/07/18/ventrilo-vs-mumble/ (Saying the only con is that people aren't use to installing it)

Well if anyone has any questions on setting up Mumble you can fire away, you can at least try it out and see which one you like better for yourself.
