That's the only changes that's visible to end users. There's much more bug fixs going on behind the scenes. Curse do have active devs working on mapster and curseforge. For example here's the change log
About the situation. Everything should be back to normal. Sixen is no longer employed by Curse, but he will still be running his site for as long as he wants to (as a volunteer). It's time to party !!! (assuming that Sixen choose to stay, I've got no say in this).
what? Sooo curse pretty much said, Keep doing what your doing, But we are no longer paying you... I dont know about where you guys are from, but around here, thats like someone spitting in your face, saying your work isnt worth what we were paying...
Tainted take it down a notch.... I don't presume to know how much work sixen does around here, but if I was running curse. I wouldn't be paying anybody to manage or contribute to these forums.
I would.... for the love of god pay someone to write better search algorithms.
If they wanted any possibility of making a better profit off sc2mapster.... search functionality to actually find useful information should be the number 1 priority. Its like the biggest complaint all around the forums is that people cant ever find anything relevant because the search is absolutely fucking garbage.
I could probably write better search functionality into the site in a matter of days. Hell I'd do it for free, considering the amount of time it would save me from searching in the long run.
What is the point of the like system btw. What genius thought of that over the bazillion other things the site needs that would actually be useful.
The like system itself should have only taken about 2-4 hours to write, and they pay people for that which is kinda sad.

Not quite. I don't know the details, but afaik they told Sixen they couldn't pay him anymore. He said he'd stay on for free (since the site is technically his baby). Looks like there was some miscommunication between Curse and Sixen and some of the mods did prepare for the worst, but nobody was really sure how it was going to end. In the end, nothing seems to really change (unless Sixen personally decides to leave like Programmr suggested, but afaik he has no reason to do so). I'm not surprised by these eventual turn of events, tbf. Without meaning disrespect to Sixen, I've always thought he was lucky to get paid for what he did in the first place. Not that his work isn't worth anything, but Curse could've just bought the site and kept him as an admin for free from the get-go, I think; Curse just offered more than was needed. Again though: this all is 'as far as I know'. I have some insight into Sixen's and Curse's business, but there's a LOT of details I lack.
Not disappointed in either of them based on what I do know, though.
Edit: Forgive the terrible spelling and lay-out, tired as hell atm.
ahh, i thought it was like curse just coming to him saying, "hey we cant pay you anymore because your not doing good enough, but if you want to still be a mod you can"

Use google, but specify sc2mapter.com as the site.
Example search:
site:sc2mapster.com "actor tutorial"
Thanks for all your kind comments guys (and gals?). I've still got some figuring out to do, but it looks as if Molster is going to be my "Curse Liasion," and I'll continue running the show here.
For the time being, I suppose there's no need to panic, nothing to see here... But know that my hard work is for my love of the community, ;).
