Inspired by all the Helms Deep maps from back in SC1 I recently made a version for SC2. It is loosely based on the SC1 map Helms Deep v. Annatar, and as of right now the map and gameplay are pretty basic. As of now there are three human players, who control Rohan, the Elves, and the 3 Fellowship heroes. The orcs are controlled by the computer for now. In any case I am looking for suggestions about where to go from here, i.e. hero abilities, special trigger events, balance changes, etc. The map is currently published in NA as Helms Deep v.1.0, and the author is ZergRush (me). The map is playable with two or three players(when there are only 2 players the Heroes are given to player 2). In any case I have no previous experience making maps and I made this map over the past few days so there is lots of room for improvement.
Thanks in advance,
ZergRush
I've played your map (It's really, REALLY popular) A couple of times over the past few days, and I have a few suggestions:
-Have seperate players for the three main heroes. Microing more than one hero is annoying.
-You need a playable Uruk-Hai team.
-More special abilities and triggers for the map in general. While fun, there is nothing special about the map that would make me prefer it over a more fully fledged map.
It's really not bad. I like it. But it could be a lot better.
Hey there.
I don't know if you are actually still working on this, but I'd be more than happy to help and test the map. Only problem might be that I am from Europe (issues with servers?).
Oh, and I couldn't find a download file of your map. How to get one?

Why would you make a Helm's Deep map if you don't have Uruk Hai, Elf, or good swordsmen models? I'm assuming you don't yet have any of these.
