I just cant understand the editor. I try to apply speed buff by searching area and it applies the speed buff behaviour (it does appear on units) Then I set modify speed multiplier to 2...but it does nothing...
really weird why this doesnt work....what could be the problem :/
Apparently if you set movement speed with trigger the Behaviour does not apply properly, the movement speed stays same as you set in triggers...how bullshit is that? I thought it would just change the base speed....
Cough...Bad workman blames his tools. If you look at the one ingame behaviour for moving faster like stimpack, you find all the fields needed. How fast were you trying to get stuff to move.
Thanks DrSuperEvil! I was looking to set a timed speed buff, and had the same issue as zenx1 setting the movement speed from a trigger, since it sets the literal speed instead of the base speed. So then I tried setting up a behavior, but was having trouble doing it from scratch due to lack of experience... stimpack is exactly the example I needed!
Can you not make a unit(structure) in the middle of the area, make its range as far as you want the area to reach, and give him a buff which applies the speed buff for units within his range?

usually should work, must be a conflict with some other values or something like that. i think the best would be if you upload the map file
Is it successfully finding the units to apply the buff too?

As I said the buff does appear on unit (the icon) but it doesnt increase the movement spee at all...
and once again this is weird since I managed to slow units down before with same effects and behaviours...
Another thing. I tried applying the buff with triggers then it gives the speed buff....This is pretty mysterious stuff....
LOL finally solved.

editor seriosly fucking with me all the time....

Look at the wiki page on the Buff behaviour.

Just make a mothership like aura that applies it.
