2 is done, but you are using the campaign requirement for 3 instead of your custom one. With the map you uploaded all the requirement functions did was exist. It had nothing in the fields that make it function. click on the Requirement - Node Link field. A menu should pop up showing two folders called Use and Show. Right clicking these should come up with a menu saying to add nodes or remove them. The rest is pretty much binary logic.
I merely shall refer you to the examples mentioned in post #36 although you want the Count Upgrade node not the upgrade allowed. Just do like the techs in post #36 and change the upgrade to your one.
1. Go the Requirements data type and create a requirement like Learn Zerg Melee Weapon 2 except using your upgrades (if no downgrade then just do like Learn Zerg Melee Weapon 1). You will find requirements consist of two potential trees, the Use which disables using the button if not met but still is visible and the Show part which determines if the button is visible or not.
2. Go to your Research ability and add your requirement under Info - Button - Requirement field
3. Set Info - Button - State field to Restricted, the other two options make the button permanently visible or hidden in most cases.
When you hover your mouse over a post you find the message number is displayed to the upper right of the persons account name.
Unfortunately you are still incorrect. Using the logic you have in the requirement so far, in order to research the upgrade you already need to have it queued (impossible) and to even see it you need to have the upgrade completed (also impossible).
With the Use, rethink what you actually want the conditions to be able to research the upgrade to be and with the Show add a Not node inbetween.

@spy46: Go I just started to believe you're trolling. You keep having problems we (most DrSuperEvil actually) already told you how to fix. If can't follow the instructions here you need to learn a lot about the editor. I suggest you read more tutorials and other sources of information.
i am in no ways trolling, i have desylexia (a dissability that makes its harder to understand writen words or sentinces and spelling)
im just having problems understanding exactly what im supposed to do, so im asking for an image or some thing to show me what it is that im supposed to do.
i know that this must be very frustrating fro some one that doesnt have or understand what dsylexia is, but its 10X worse for me because i know its me.

Thanks for the image, seeing some thing does help because i do get confused when there is more than one thing with the same name being referenced back and forth, but thats not to say that DrSuperEvil did not help, he did help out alot and i thank him and you for your help.
i have looked at the other upgrades, but i question things because its not a weapon or armor upgrade, i dont know what would be just for upgrades that effect weapons/armor etc because from what i see, the fire suppression system is a one of a kind upgrade and every thing, so i also get parinoid about just making the mess worse.
@spy46: Go Don't panic, it's still an upgrade like all others. The effect it causes is different, but the requirements and the way a player will research it is the same. Like I told you before this upgrade will work just like in the campaign, you don't need to worry about the details.
ok ive missed some thing some where because the button still does not dissapear once its upgraded and im not sure where to look for that.
i hope its not a bother but could you take a look or some thing and tell me why its not working.
1. Your requirement is completely empty (alter the Requirement - Node Link field) so does nothing
2. The Ability - Info - Button - State for your upgrade is still set to available and not Restricted
3. Your requirement is not linked to the ability in the Ability - Info - Button - Requirements field

but i do want to be clear on what it is that your telling me because ive never really had much luck understanding some editors.

ok found where your refering to for the Requirement Nodes, but i am not 100% hell not even 50% sure of what im supposed to do in there.

hummm i think we might be missunderstanding each other or im just reading it wrong.
The upgrade its self works just fine, damage any building into yellow/orange and the drones? deploy and do their job.
problem is that the button does not dissapear and i can keep upgrading it and costing the same resorces for nothing.
I was talking about the requirement you are using for the fire supression system in the map you uploaded.
Under the Requirements data type, the one your upgrade is using needs to be fixed.

I know a few people in your situation, so I understand it. If you need images, then images is what you get. Here's one to show you how you upgrade's requirement is supposed to be:
Just look at any weapon upgrade lvl 1, copy it, rename it and then change the tech to yours.

in the image that i was given, underd show, there is a ..... trigger? and then the count upgrade etc.
does the "not" trigger matter for this?
also in my image i have under USE almost the same thing, havent been able to remove it, or do i want to remove that from there?
