shoots 2 missile out does damage at their impact then does twice as much damage to the target and surrounding units because the 2 missiles come together
By any chance, are you able to put the map up for this? I'm not sure how to make missiles behave like that so it would be really great to see how you did it :)
He used a persistent with 2 offsets, fires 2 missile at the offsets(Target Point). On impact does damage at Target Point and each impact launches a missile directed at Target Unit, doing damage x 2 at target unit.
note i did not use a set effect for the launch just want to put that out there i found a better way with less junk
have the launch effect of the second missiles do damage and the impact of the first to launch i will gladly post it up
Well, I had an idea for an ability, Aiur's Tears. Picture a Planet cracker coming down from very high (out of sight) roasting an area about the size of a nukes radius :) NOOOOO idea how to make it :(
Just take a look at my map... mine is basically a lightning bolt coming down from the sky. You could just switch some graphics around, change the damage & add a search area and you could have Aiur's Tears.
check my map on the frost wde it was suppose to be hail but looks like rain maybe slow the animation down set a z on the 1 st persistent and add a hight changing ability vawall raining
You don't need to set a Z offset on certain effects, like Nuke, Adun's Charge(Editor Name)(I think this is what it's called, my lightning bolt), Planet Cracker... because they're already have a set Height. You just stretch the actors Z scale to make it taller, again which I did on my lightning Bolt.
Sure I guess. You can use it as a weapon, or turn it into an ability and make it persist or something, pretty simple. The Simpler it is, the better it usually is.
So true. I was actually hoping I could get it to fire in the same trajectory as a nuke (fired from somewhere - land somewhere), but I'll save that for another time.
You could use the Power Overwhelming graphic as the launch, make a mover that goes straight up from the templar, disappears... and then there's the Planet Cracker at target location, haha, would be awesome.

thats awesome, Probably one of the best entries for this exercise! very original I love it :D
@nevjmac: Wow, i didn't really think it was that good, it certainly wasn't very hard to make :P

Just goes to show some of the best things are not overly complicated :P
yeah mine was simple just there are small hidden problems
