Urban Special Forces (Default and Hero Modes)

There are now two versions of the map you can download, one for Default mode, and one for Hero mode. In Hero mode you start out with one of 6 heroes from the campaign that level up as you and your allies kill enemies.
- IMPORTANT: From this point on, the versions I upload here will not work correctly if you upload them to battle.net. This isn't something I wanted, but I can't make offline and battle.net versions in the same map without causing many problems. If you need the battle.net version (to upload on a different region, etc.) just ask and I'll send it to you, or if you're on Battle.net US, you can download it off of there. I don't want to upload 3 versions here every time I update. That would just confuse people anyway.
No timed enemy upgrades, much more upgrades, new Urban map. Armor/Weapon/Health upgrades can go up to level 100 and cost 500 minerals each. Special upgrades typically also cost 1 vespene gas, gotten by conquering areas of the map.
A lot of people had various problems with the direction my last Special Forces map went, so I'm hoping this one will fix some of their problems with it. It's not meant to be exactly like the other version, as not everyone likes the same thing from a map.
map quite nice but... Lag.. after brother, later bigger lag after killing boss immortal and Marauder, AND MOST LAGGEST!!! after killing archon where you sit with 3 fps... trying to kill those laggers as soon as possible... after killing them all final boss is just boring.. it could spawn some units to gain some income and make it a bit more difficult.
hey man, like ur map! the only thing thats still killing it is the lag u get after killing te marine-o-brothers. would really like to see this getting fixed! keep up the good work, ty!
It's not that it won't work in different regions, it's that the versions on here don't work at all on battle.net. I had to disable a part of a trigger to make them playable offline, but that part of the trigger allows the mode to be selected on battle.net.
You could easily re-enable that action yourself if you wanted the battle.net version.
Trigger is called Show Dialogs, the action disabled is: Variable - Set Game Mode = (Game Mode HACK game value)
Quick question, what causes it not to be uploadable to a different region? If I download it from sc2mapster, it won't work anymore?

It should be fixed in this version, but at the cost of not being able to use the same map file on battle.net. See the patch notes on the latest version for more info.
Latest version is currently still waiting for approval, so you might not be able to see it yet.
I think I found the problem. For some reason it works when you test it through the editor, but not when you run it outside the editor, and I think I can fix it.
Strange... I've got a new version coming today but I'll try to look into that before I upload it.
WTF now 0.37 doesn't work anymore, same issue. Can't choose hero just difficulty and resource options, thats where it hangs.
Can't get past the first person view when selecting the options (mode/minerals etc.) in 0.38 both default/hero maps
0.37 works though

and also, did you set the damage display effect for the zealot?
It's fine to upload it wherever you want, I'm just glad people want to play it. I don't think I can upload it to other regions at the moment anyway.
I may do a little more with heroes later on, I've just been rather busy lately. They currently upgrade their abilities and stats completely on autopilot, as you level, but I may make it so you get a little more choice and add more options there.
Also I'm still looking for the cause of the lag. Every time I play solo I've had no lag, so it's been a little hard to track down.
Oh, I thought the heroes had abilities that you could put points into or that they were affected by upgrades from the buildings.
Aah well, I guess a hero us better than no hero. :)

I just wanted to inform you that I'll be publishing your USF (Heroes version) in the SEA Community Server. We currently don't have it there and in fact we have only a handful of interesting maps. I rather enjoyed your default USF though I never got far.
If you want me to take it down, I will. just inform me.

After clearing the first section with the terran bosses, the game starts lagging. By the time you clear the 2nd set of bosses the game just starts lagging to the point where its impossible to progress any further. Any idea why?
I'll make sure that it's more difficult, at least on normal and up, we'll see how it goes for easy.
