EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!
The quality of the textures of many new models are quite bad, no comparison with previous expansions, I hope that future DCL are not of this quality.
@alleyviper85:
Nice Elders Protoss models. Keep up the good work.
A couple more robotics and another ship or two, and then a worker, and that would be enough to get a full set of units for a race. Keep up the great work Alley!
@Miles07: Go
I do not understand what you mean.
@Miles07: Go Custom models with custom textures assigned to them. No unit data, as unit data is present only within editor files.
Question about the Elders models: Are these actually models, or textures, or both? Or do they also have unit data to them?
Original
Currently there will be to download, until no finish the Elders. UED -Valkyrie
the UED is a force I am making in my mode I could use some models for it there colors are white and brown and I have there symbol if it is needed I added the Valkyrie and other old units to the force but it is missing some unique qualities that my other races have I'm also working on the confederates the conclave Protoss and the feral broods with cerebrates if you remember battle in brood war the terran would start with a composition of marines medics and firebats then switch to mech then to a heavy fleet with a lot of Valkyries as for uniqueness in color scheme and design the terran in the kaprulu sector are behind earth in tech with outdated battle cruiser and wraith designs when they arrive as prisoners its wasn't until the dominion that they began to design there own uniquely powerful ships that could compete with the UED and there advanced fleet
The UED had two subfactions in brood war gameplay - Cronus Wing (white, space forces) and Atlas Wing (brown, ground forces). Their symbol was black and red (stylized eagle atop of earth with two small lightning bolts). Regarding technology and units, acid dragon is right about the valkyrie and medic. While the terrans of the Koprulu sector had both medics and missile gunships already, UED introduced power armored medics (armed with flare guns, shields and and nanite-projectors/laser scalpels) and valkyrie-variant gun frigates. There's a good drawing of the valkyrie in the field manual that could be used to extrapolate UED ship designs. Apparently, the UED had its own versions of the battlecruiser (such the flagship DSS Aleksander) and of the marine (which in the BW terran victory screen looks somewhere between a confederate marine and a sc2 marine). The Aleksander can seen in the BW intro and in the UED Victory Report Cinematics. For additional reference, the merc goliath model in sc2 are part of spartan company which is a remnant unit of UED forces, so the difference between the standard goliath and the "UED" goliath can help demonstrate the difference between the human UED and the terran factions of the Koprulu sector. Finally, for structures, the brood war psi disruptor was a purely UED structure, so their other structures could mostly based on that architecture and possibly a bit on the structural design of the UED ships (missile turret using Valkyrie missile pods). As far as the force composition of units, I'll have to get back to you, alley viper.
We have next to no info about what the UED would use. Medics and Valks were technically UED units back in BW. Color scheme is easy though, White and grey/black.
They supposedly had very advanced tech compared to the terrans however.
I wonder, What think you, about making a Terran race dedicated to the UED.
1 / What units make up this army?
2nd / White color is the original theme of this army?
3rd / Any reference where I can extract information.
I will have to make a new version of Dark Templar , The current version I do not like.
These elder models are awesome!
