See, now, how the yellow color made fit well, as well as it made that UED Marine look 'sober'? That's almost about the idea I meant, which BTW, you were going so well in your previous UED models, you *had* me with those.

I'd rather be it like this - The UED, by the time they learned of Kerrigan's original defeat back in WoL (She's much more of a threat than Mengsk or the Protoss would ever be, obvious), really, REALLY considered sending a new expedition to Koprulu, but the memories of the Brood War (Of sending an expedition thinking all sides were weak, but it turned they weren't) still spoke louder, and thus instead would send a small, covert expedition to 'prepare the war'. Unfortunately, events like Kerrigan's return, the discovery of Hybrids and even of a 'dark god' forced the UED to pull back and sit it out, letting rather the Sector kill itself, but it survived. The UED would spend the next years (Nova Covert Ops time), keeping an eye on everyone until they were certain the time was really ripe for a new invasion without much weird shit happening everywhere and that would cause bigger damage than the Brood War did.

But other than that, sorry to burst your bubble, AV, but that blue-ish lightning really didn't fit that well with the UED. Blue lightning, IMO, is more fit for Umojan, high-tech and all that. The UED, true are much more advanced, but are also equally more sober, militarily speaking, of course, hence the balance between black, white and brown on the previous models, which were really great, you should've kept on working on those. Plus, the yellow lightning from before fit like a glove, helping show the feel of a fascist force the UED is without needing too much red or black colors. Many times, myself, when I think of the UED, I mostly think of a mix between the WH40k Imperium, the Helghast from Killzone and the Roman Empire at Imperator Augustus period.
