How to play
- extract the mod file (SC1BWmod) to your "Mods" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (NOT the folder under "My Documents")
- extract the map pack to the "Maps" folder in your Starcraft 2 install directory (create the folder if it doesn't exist)
- extract the Campaign Launcher & setup to the same "Maps" folder (not the campaign folder)
Campaign Launcher installation:
- launch the Starcraft 2 editor
- open the setup map named SCMRsetup in your Maps folder and click the "test document" button on the top right (or press ctrl+F9)
- wait until the launcher loads and you're at the title screen, then save the game and exit the map (press esc or F10 to open the game menu)
- find the save file (named "Starcraft - Mass Recall" by default) in (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Saves/VersusAI
- copy or move the save file to the saves folder under your account folder (your home/documents folder)/Starcraft II/Accounts/.../.../Saves/Multiplayer (for example; any of the save folders will do)
- Done! You can now log into the appropriate account and load the save from the load game-screen. You can use this save to play each episode.
more info:
- You can copy the save file to whatever accounts you want. For example, if you want to play offline, copy it to your guest account folder.
- If you're unsure of the right folders or can't find the Starcraft II documents folder, log into an account of your choice in SC2, go to the load game-screen, click on a save and click the "show in folder"-button. It will take you to the appropriate saves folder.

Huge thanks to Maverck for his SC2BW, Ultraling for starting this project back in the day, and everyone who contributed. Last but not least, we're very grateful for the overwhelming support of the Starcraft community. Thank you.
So, Blizzard wouldn't give us a break until HotS. It's cool - feel free to continue pointing out any issues, new and old, it's appreciated as always. We'll be "closely monitoring the situation" and will have an updated mod out Soon, hopefully fixing most major issues.
DEFILER
Well let's hope so. Burning metal and body parts flying everywhere, such beautiful violence. Woo! I just hope they tried to keep it somewhat realistic.
Adun
I assume you didn't have the new version yet, this was a pretty major bug that's corrected in the newest release. The thought of allowing Lurkers did occur to me as well, though.
nedsociety
Cheers. The menu popping up when skipping a cutscene tends to happen on every cutscene as far as I know.
Bug after v1.1 (found on English mod v4.6, Korean client v2.0.4) - In scenario 1, most zerglings have their models missing. Some enemy zerglings are shown correctly though. ( http://imgur.com/oi9qtSY.jpg )
EDIT: Minor issues added
Version 1.1 is out. Fixed a number of bugs and minor issues.
3rd mission is tremendously hard and has only one way to complete: defilers + hydra. But I am not fast enough to realize it, my last attempt ended unsuccessful because defilers were just born and had only 60+ energy when came this bunch of wraiths. I think you should allow lurkers to make this mission more various. Now it feels like ladder-game timings: "I must build this shit at 3 minutes 20 seconds 546 milliseconds or I will 100% suck".
Jones can you image how much your cutscenes will improve with the upcoming physics system on Wings of Liberty?? They will become more and more awesome without touch them :D
This campaign has been mentionned in the latest Discussion Roundup of the Battle.net website.

You unlock the secret mission by beating mission 9 in 25 minutes (at least 5:00 left). You can also open ZergX09S with the editor and press Test Document (ctrl-F9).
@Telenil thx and another question, how do u unlock the secret mission? it doesnt let me open the map.
@IDKWUISGM: Go
Wait until version 1.1, it will fix a bug that makes the difficulty übersuperharder than intended.
@iong23: Go
A couple of questions about that: what version are you using? Did you hear a speech everytime you finished an enemy, and did you infest a command center?
If you beat the level but don't want to start it all over again, type "there is no cow level" and you will go directly to the cinematic.
for the ast mission, i killed everything but where is the cinematic?
How to beat mission 3 on hard? I'v tried it several times but with no success. Some tips?
If anyone has extra feedback and/or found issues about the campaign, feel free to post them here. We are working on v1.1 now, and it will be a few months before we update it after that.
Why missile turret deals 12(9,6) damage and has 250 HP?

SC1BWmod.SC2Mod file itself should be placed into Starcraft II/Mods folder. You don't need to extract the mod file. If you're refering to extracting zip file, well, use this.
oh.. i have in trouble
i don't know what to extract the mod file (SC1BWmod)
how can i extract the file?

Sound, portrait and caption for Mengsk's line ("The Psi Emitter...") will disappear in 1 sec after starting. I played English version of maps (with both difficulties) and mod on Korean client. There was no sign of performance drop that I could check with my eyes, but this problem seems to be repeatable on my environment. I'll try again after changing graphic settings.
EDIT: It worked out. It's weird that changing the number of sound channels helped it.
And about Scenario 9, though it's not a bug, it seems very easy to exploit AI at the beginning by sending two or three guardians to the hill located at west of initial base where UED tries to gather its attack waves. They will take care of every single unit in attack waves, making this mission piece of cake.
New French versions for episodes 1, 5 and 6, as well as v4.6 of the mod coming soon.
Wunterwaffen
Yeah, but I doubt it would look as good.
nedsociety
Okay, cool. About Mengsk's line being clipped, clipped how? Slightly from the beginning? It's not clipped for me - this seems to happen whenever there's a performance drop at the same time (even a slight one), I don't know why it would affect sounds like that.
Ultraling
Ain't it? Thanks.
/nerdgasm. The dream has become reality. The whole saga is here! I seriously need to play these immediately. Congrats on the release, guys. This is so awesome.
EDIT:
@Jones313: Go
There isn't, but I figured you could blow up a Castanar empty tank doodad to a large size, then put a Destroyer in the center. Then you could take away his ability to move and attack. So it would look like a Destroyer was in the tank.
@Kazor132: Go
Yes, I've just realized that infested command centers don't die when they are infested, so any trigger requiring that command center to die doesn't happen - it can mess with the attack waves in mission 8 as well. You can use the old cheat code to see the ending if you don't feel like doing the level again.
@Garrthos: Go
18:30? Weird, blue and white aren't supposed to attack before 25:00 or 30:00, unless you provoked them first. Will investigate.
