How to play
Before you play, you need to download the maps AND version 4.1 of the sc1mod. Put this file in the "Mods" folder of your main Starcraft II folder. If you launch the map 1 and lose the game almost immediately, the mod file is not at its proper place.

To launch a map, drop it on your Starcraft II.exe shortcut, or open it with editor and choose Test Document (ctrl F9).

Maybe you're right, long time I don't play original BW, I've never used so many invisible units (yes, even Arbiter, if I have to use it, is for recall and occasionally for stasis) because often get scanned

Nope. I played the mission in the original not long ago, and you could do a lot of damage with cloaked Kerrigan there. She might have got scanned occasionally, but not to the point where cloaking becomes utterly useless like here.
Sorry, but what's the point of recreating the missions if the gameplay is totally different from what it was in the original?

I think that even in original BW Kerrigan got scanned everytime, not only Kerrigan, but all invisible units (except ghost if you don't attack). I've won the mission using many archons (done the same in original BW) and wasn't very difficult at all, siege tanks were crushed by Kerrigan psionic storm (here using Razor Swarm, but is the almost the same spell and fits better than Psionic storm for a Zerg unit)
Finished the campaign! If Starcraft 1 Brood War would have been released in 2012 would look like this. Discovered another bug in last mission: Zeratul can enter the temple to secure the crystal, but Artanis not! Anyway I consider the campaign done since I've wiped out every single zerg in the map (a thing that in vanilla BW never tried). The AI in last mission is perfect, is 100% like Brood War in normal mode and should not be changed. I've used same strategies to win and enemy used the same units and strategies too. Except for those bugs I've mentioned in last 2 mission, I'd like to say that is almost 100% bug free now. Looking forward for the Terran campaign (I can't wait to play UED again). I would like to retry the campaign now, in hard mode (in normal mode is challenging and perfect, so hard mode would be really killer to play).

I played missions 1-3 and am now more or less stuck on 4. Normal difficulty does not work imho. Attack waves are much harder than they should be, but the real problem is that Kerrigan's cloaking ability is in fact nonexistent since she ALWAYS gets scanned right away. So she is useless when she used to do most of the work in the original mission. :-(
Other things:
- Artanis' portrait is broken in the briefing screen (only a silhouette )
- message "Zeratul has been killed" when Kerrigan falls
- Mod should be offered for download as zip, not as plain file. Otherwise people won't notice when file gets truncated during download and you get strange error reports. :-)
Just finished The Insurgent and is great!! Tomorrow I'll finish the last mission! Excellent work, I hope the Iron Fist will be released too. Little bug in mission 07: when you kill the real Aldaris and the cutscene begins, Kerrigan doesn't kill him, but the cutscene continues anyways, like if Aldaris died.

Decreased? Mmm, yesterday it seemed easier to me. Maybe my bases were better defended. Anyway now I'm playing the insurgent, and see if dark archons are again useful (stealing tons of carriers and archons is priceless!)
The english version of the map and the mod totally don't work D:

Check the original mission, you already had an archon + zealots wave attacking you quickly. Using mind control on the archon alone is enough to defeat it.
And the difficulty in mission 6 was decreased, not increased...
Edit: I mean the map is easier now, because attack waves come slower. Not sure of what you wanted to say by "improved".
Mind control works, just tested. But again, having big waves attacking you after 3 seconds of game make the game frustrating and wanting to click F10 and then "exit", especially if called normal mode (I'm refering to mission 07, the Insurgent). Also in mission 06, wanted to replay it, and I've noticed that the difficulty was improved even more!! And is called easy mode...
Mind control and various other bugs are now fixed. As mentionned above, the game will only use v4.1 ( called "sc1BWmod") for The Stand, and will use vC3.3 (called "SC1mod") for the other three campaigns. Just download the two versions, and the game will know what to do.
We WILL make all the campaigns use a single mod eventually, it will only take some time.
Also, the Russian version is available. People who play in Russian don't have to worry about what I've written above, their mod works for all four campaigns.
So, if you play in English, download the v4.1 on this page, then download vC3.3 from here, and put BOTH mods in Starcraft II/Mods. Then you are ready!
in the mission 07 , the mind control of the dark archon do nothing... the unit mind controlled actually shows the mind control icon, but you cant control it .
In mission 06 the overmind is......invincible!!! When his life is under 10, start to regenerate at very fast speed making it impossible to kill, even with 15 carriers!! In mission 07 you can't train dark templars, and you can't form dark archons with the ones at your disposal
Aiming with storm/ensare and pylon range display is still displaying uncorrectly
In Mission Two, Corsairs aren't supposed to be unlocked yet, it's not a huge gameplay changer though, since Corsairs are essentially useless on that level anyways. (Only Zerg Air are Mutas and Overlords, Overlords are easy to bring down with Scouts / Dragoons, and for Mutas, it's more cost efficient to just use Archons anyways)
I guess the acceleration of Artanis is incorrect (lower than upgrated scout), though he got the maximum speed as the upgrated scout

Jimm sent me a bug-free version of the maps yesterday evening, but I didn't have the time to publish it. So, either this night orthe one after that. I will also publish a slightly updated version of the English maps and mod, with the mind control bug finally fixed.

Artanis is a scout, not a dragoon. If he dies for no apparent reason, you have a problem with the mod.
